Ok, it's been sitting on my master bus in ProTools Ultimate 2018.7 for last two days. First of all, this is a gem!!! Guys, if you can afford to spend $27 for the Pro version, please do it. Youlean deserves it.

I already have several options - WLS, TC Electronics, Insight. I always wanted Nugen, but couldn't justify its $400 price tag, although I work in post. This is it!!! Most importantly, it is accurate, dynamics and timeline view are perfect, 5.1 support, and it really feels like stealing for the price:-). I have a few minor gripes but let me stress "minor" word - right of the bat I had to tick eco true peak and adv. optimalization options, otherwise the session was stuttering, stopping, processor overloading, but since then it's been a smooth ride (2013 6core mac pro, 10.12.6, 64 GB RAM).

I would appreciate the ability to customize color of the upper and lower stripe, when you have the plugin open for a whole day, that white becomes rather painful. A shade of grey would be much easier on the eye. Also I'm missing R128 Short Program preset, but I can easily make my own. Also a built-in TP limiter along with some other features would be great, but then again I'm sure the developer couldn't keep the plugin so affordable

Overall, stellar work it is already and I believe it will only get better :tu:

Bug report:
I installed the stable v2 yesterday and I found that all the text is REALLY SMALL, it doesn't matter how much I resize the plugin, the text stays the same size. I used both the VST2.4 and VST3 versions and got the same result.

My PC specs are:
Windows 7 x64
AMD FX-6100
8GB RAM
AMD R7 260X 1GB
Reaper 5.941 x64

Thanks, but whys is this a thing? Shouldn't it just be drag?

Having options is good, it makes sense to have both available.
It is always a good idea to read the manual.

The CTRL and drag stuff is not in the manual, at least it wasn't a few days ago.

Found a bug though.. if I drag the plugin size (right lower corner) down, so the UI gets tall.. then the registration lock icon and the viewsettings icon stop working. The options/preferences stuff and export icons on the right still work.

When is the intro offer ending?

Occasionally I get this gui glitch in Pro Tools after switching histogram to mini view.

scroll down the page to see the countdown, don't know why it's not right up there. Now it's showing 8 days till the end of promotion.

Bought the Pro version, excellent stuff!

One minor suggestion though: the four top icons (the View, Register, Export and Settings icons) are all different sizes, which doesn't look too good. Maybe you can try to resize them so they're are perfectly aligned, size/proportion wise?

Well, kind of expected a price jump. At least it's not from 0 to 99USD or an insane price for an outdated metering tool. (not this company!)

I really only hope, that the dev knows what he put on his plate. The "streaming presets" (or the values for them) currently pretty much change daily. Apple just bought Shazam, Youtube still can't decide where to set, Spotify is also still slightly shifting. So you have to stay on top of things in order to stay relevant in the market. It's already hard for the forerunners in this field (see Nugen Audio's MasterCheck/MasterCheck Pro).

I'm also not feeling the "new features might result in higher price" (like.. why?! Has the bitter aftertaste that "free users" are not worth the effort, and is a slap onto the face to those that made it possible for the dev to gain the top spot in DC'16 in the first place). But if it remains a lifetime license, I might invest the 27USD. I only hope we won't see a v3 in like 5-6 months time already.

ALTHOUGH:

27 USD != (is not) 33EUR (according to OANDA, that would be 23EUR)! Neither does 47USD = 51EUR (it's actually 41EUR). What the hell?!

And the checkout does tell me 34% off and not 42% (see screenshot). Are there hidden fees involved? Is there VAT on top that we don't know about? This is already looking great and I feel valued if I pay more(!) than US users. Nice job there :tu:

Sorry to burst your bubble, but he did not. He would be, if he'd came up with these features in v1 already, and made them free or sub 50USD without any price hiccups or day-1 announcements yet again that "prices go even higher up". At this stage, the dev is running after(!) the competition.

For free, this is definitely unbeatable. No argument about that.

But sorry to say this... ToneBoosters offered his EBU Loudness tool with a near identical v1.9.x feature set (sans resizing and custom settings) for 30EUR already years ago (price didn't change throughout the years, and was never wonky either), and NugenAudio are the forerunners in this field (always with the finger on the pulse of time) that can't be beat.

But hey... "Instant purchase" to some!

Still 6 days left... time for some test runs in Wavelab (if it runs flawless in there) and hoping that this price faux pas will be fixed. And/Or made more transparent. I'm currently not feeling valued as user either way.

MasterCheck Pro is/was my go-to mastering meter. However it has some serious, for me, user experience limitations that could have easily been designed better. Now that I have YLMV2 I am slowly making it my go-to mastering meter. The issues with MCP are: preset does not remember meter/codec/mini state, and the two small digital displays are way too small - I want to see all 4 the same size (really dumb UX error on their part). I've made them aware of these over a year ago - no update. YLMV2 does not have these issues and also brings a bunch of other options to the table. I've basically phased out MCP at this point in favour of YLMV2. Check out my soundcloud page for examples - I master to -14 to -16 LUFS depending on the nature of the track and if I can get away without reduction of PLR, which I like to keep in the double digits, integrated. :phones:

MasterCheck Pro is not Nugen Audio VisLM. Plain and simple.

Also... the price is not wonky for Nugen Audio, as it is in case of Youlean LM2.

Again, how can the MSRP be 47USD = 51EUR if it actually should be 41EUR (+-1,50EUR for PayPal)
How can the discount be 41% from 47USD down to 27USD, but for European users it's 32% from 51EUR "MSRP" to 33,17 EUR.

This does not add up.
EU users pay up to 10EUR more!

It's as if 9% VAT was added on top for reasons unknown, and it was not made clear on the page in any way that this will happen to EU citizens. So there are some crazy Fastspring (the shop that Youlean uses) shenanigans going on, or something else saw a hiccup in the process.

I do want to support a developer if he's doing good work, and if it's priced fair. But so far... I'm actually scared off, dare I even say "feeling cheated". No "instant purchase" for me.
