Hi all,i spent two days for the first set up of Samplitude, arranger view, objects and mixer with dedicated busses and auxes...
It's a great daw ,really...
I have a problem with IK ARC 2 on master channel.
When i play i have a phased effect with Arc...with Sonar Platinum is perfect.
For me is an important part of set up couse i have calibrated all my studio with Arc
measurements.
Any thought??
Thanks in advance

Hi everybody,
I was a Samplitude Music Studio user for years and although I use other DAWs (Reaper, Tracktion Waveform, Mixcraft, Studio One), I was always aware of very high quality sound files that it produces. Of course, I grabbed the deal immediately. Samplitude is probably the best sounding DAW for PC (the only two DAWs that I have never demoed are Cubase and Digital Performer so I cannot pronounce myself about them). BTW, I have Mixbus too and it doesn't seem more analog sounding than Samplitude.
Regarding the plugin display in Samplitude, if you organize beautifully your plugins in folders and subfolders (by function or manufacturer etc.), Samp will recognize it and you won't have them over the full screen.
It was a great pleasure to discover Kraznet's tutorials so thanks a lot Kraznet.
Cheers

That was an interesting 17 page read.
At any rate, smart move imo, the sale. Sometimes you just need to bite the bullet and get a thing out there more to drive even more sales. Good stuff. Looks like a great product to me... and a spectacular deal at $150.

You're right, but I shouldn't have to reorganize my plug-in folders to accommodate a host, The host should accommodate me. Plug-in organization and management is not one of Samplitude's strengths.capdellop wrote:Regarding the plugin display in Samplitude, if you organize beautifully your plugins in folders and subfolders (by function or manufacturer etc.), Samp will recognize it and you won't have them over the full screen.

The simplest and most effective way, however, is to edit the file "Vstplugins.ini", either manually or through the executable I posted here:

They are simple but effective alternatives.

Unfortunately, very few hosts have any kind of plugin organization or management capability.telecharge wrote:You're right, but I shouldn't have to reorganize my plug-in folders to accommodate a host, The host should accommodate me. Oh, I know, I had a tool for plugin menu management for sonar before cakewalk did.TMaudio wrote:Sonar's is [was] excellent in this regard.whyterabbyt wrote:Unfortunately, very few hosts have any kind of plugin organization or management capability.telecharge wrote:You're right, but I shouldn't have to reorganize my plug-in folders to accommodate a host, The host should accommodate me. And absolutely agreed.

Thanks, JB. I'm comfortable editing INI or config files. Technically, it is easy, but I imagine new users being put off by it, as well.Johnny Blade wrote:The simplest and most effective way, however, is to edit the file "Vstplugins.ini", either manually or through the executable I posted here:

Sometimes when you're used to a particular DAW environment, you lose perspective on how 'the other half lives.' I'm guilty of this, too.
I'm experiencing the problem of the plug-in menu running of the screen, so while looking into that, I've come across a number of threads with people (including Kraznet) lamenting the limited options in Samplitude for plug-in organization and management.
I also see you've been very helpful on MAGIX's forums, so thank you for that.

Just another confirmation that it's not an upgrade, and it also works for german customers.
As soon as you click on the magix logo to reach the main page, the website automatically changes to the german version, where that deal is not available. You also can't find the deal with google in germany.
But the link to the sale (which I found in a facebook group) opens the original version, that doesn't change to your IP location for some reason, and as long as you don't leave the page, the purchase works flawlessly. And also the registration of the software to a german address, with a freshly created magix account.

As far as I'm aware, there is One daw that excels at this aspect.whyterabbyt wrote:Unfortunately, very few hosts have any kind of plugin organization or management capability.telecharge wrote:You're right, but I shouldn't have to reorganize my plug-in folders to accommodate a host, The host should accommodate me. Anyone got an opinion on whether it'd be worth picking up the Vintage Effects Suite separately? Its bundled with Vegas Pro 14 and some Magix beginner/consumer stuff for $20 in a Humble Bundle deal?
(I got Samplitude in the sale deal, so I think I have the tied versions of these but I tend to avoid locked-in plugins since I also use a couple of other DAWs for different things)
