Ahhh, that makes me a little nostalgic for Montreal winters.
But only a little.
But only a little.

Yes. But you'll notice that Xmas was 2 f**king months ago.
Now, to be honest, it isn't always this bad. And Yesterday was almost kind of nice (0 degrees Celsius and no wind. It seemed positively balmy.) But this winter has been unusually bad. If the temperature rises above -20 Celsius, we get a ton of snow, after which the temperature promptly falls back down to -20.
Thankfully, we have beer.

No, June-Early September it's like a jungle. The humidity is unbearable. Air conditioning is de rigeur.

I know, I was just kidding - I've been to Montreal a few times. I was thinking of the joke about Alaska having only 2 seasons - Winter and July...Bombadil wrote: Mon Feb 25, 2019 11:13 pmDeep Purple wrote: Mon Feb 25, 2019 10:55 pmWhen is that? I know you were. I just felt like venting about Montreal's weather. In the summer, people wish for autumn, in the winter, people wish for summer. The only seasons there that I enjoyed were autumn and spring, but spring is pretty short there. Of course, as a kid, the winters were great fun. Summers, too.Deep Purple wrote: Tue Feb 26, 2019 12:04 amI know, I was just kidding - I've been to Montreal a few times. Parents of a friend of mine, after returning from Florida, told me of a couple they met down there. Apparently, one of them asked 'where is Montreal?' The other replied 'oh you know, a bit east of Alaska.'
