Because the colors of the DAWs don't match on the map...
The source is no less than 'Google' themselves (owners of YouTube), specifically, Google Trends, used by most media outlets to measure popularity metrics, to recognise and track the popularity of various topics.

Basically, it reveals what people are 'really searching for' ... i.e. what are the 'most popular' search terms, indicating what people are most interested in at any given time.

pdxindy wrote: Thu Dec 23, 2021 4:10 pm The only thing that your chart of web searches reveals is that most FL Studio users are losers living in the parents basement and got nothing to do but search the web.

Professionals are busy using real DAW's and most of them never even heard of FL Studio. Deep down you know this and that is why you bluster so much. :hihi:
xD ... You are hilarious! Keep living in denial and posting your guff, it's honestly hysterical to witness. The more you continue to comment in a thread of a DAW you claim to never use, the more obvious your envy becomes. This is absolute gold!

Thank you! I searched on Trends Google but was too stupid to figure it out by myself.

Of further interest, since other DAW users often like to throw out the idea that most people are searching for cracked FL Studio than other DAWS...

A deeper analysis of the actual search terms collated for each respective DAW reveals that the #1 most popular search for Ableton Live, is for the cracked version, with: "ableton live 11 crack" being the single most searched for term relating to Ableton Live.

Whereas the equivalent "crack" version for FL Studio only makes it to the #2 most popular search term for that DAW: ""fl studio 20.8 crack"". And with the new 2FA security introduced into FL Studio 20.9, this DAW is only going to become harder and harder to p!rate. Looks, like FL Studio might get a big wave of new customers in the run up to their massive FL Studio 21 release, :hihi:

Of course this means, that a higher percentage of Ableton Live users are searching for "cracks", than relatively-speaking are doing likewise for FL Studio. So while more people "overall" may currently be using illegitimate versions of FL Studio (simply because it's around twice as popular as its nearest rival). The actual percentage of each 'legitimate' userbase is likely higher for the more popular FL Studio. Which wouldn't surprise me, given that FL Studio is a "pay once" updates free for life model, versus other DAWs which repeatedly charge their users for their major updates.

You know what this means, right? That if those relevant 'crack' searches were omitted from the previous Google trends charts I posted previously, then the gap (which is already around 2-to-1 between FL Studio and Ableton Live) would almost certainly be "even wider", if it were to include only the legitimate, i.e. 'non-cracked' version searches. Now aint' that a daisy? Lol!

Man, we're just mythbusting all over this place, up in here today! xD

What's that? Need proof? Oh, here's ya goes then, xD ...

The idea that finding information about a DAW is something only losers have "time" to do is very funny.

Azbest wrote: Thu Dec 23, 2021 11:10 am Man you sure get defensive for that strawberry. Take a deep breath, it's just some innocent banter.
Well, it's obvious why sports fans engage in such 'banter' behaviour ... out of tribalistic insecurity! Which is most often almost exclusively directed towards the most successful rivals (out of petty jealousy). Which probably explains such DAW user's stance towards FL Studio. Sucks to be you, I guess.

One thing you will never witness is myself (as a satisfied FL Studio user) visiting any other DAW-related thread, period. Let alone feeling any need to comment about said DAW, whether positively, negatively, or anything in between.

Why? Because they're all simply an irrelevance to me. As I said, I'm only ever reminded of those other DAWs' existence, whenever their users visit FL Studio-related topics, usually to childishly attempt to trash the DAW. I mean, it's It's just bizarre behaviour to observe, from even a neutral standpoint. And it's predominantly users of other DAWs directed towards FL Studio, which is pretty damning in itself.

As for the 'defensive' claims, Lol! I really think you're self-projecting there. There's nothing defensive about my stance. It's just simple pragmatical facts. I mean...

Why would anyone need to defend success?

I used to be an FL advocate a couple of years back. Knew ALL workarounds and whatnot. Used to defend it against all the suckers who thought Reason was superior. But MrJubbly is on a whole new level. Appreciate that. Interesting to say the least.

Back in the 80 's 90's 00's Rap was the music of the Hip Hop movement which included Rap, Breakdance, DJ'ing, Graffiti.
So HipHop Music was Rap Music which was part of Hip Hop as a whole.
Today I don't know. It's been kind of distorted to an extent I don't really comprehend.
The place I work, the apprentice there does not know Hiphop. But he knows Rap. And to him Rap is all that Mumble Sh*t I can't stand

It's cheap, it looks nice, awesome piano roll, and it can run inside another daw. I can upgrade my copy up to all plugins for less than $200 right now and I'm definitely considering it.
