I haven't tried all of these, but I voted for acid simply cause it's old news, and I didn't think it was that incredible in its time either.
As far as those not listed, pro tools definitely makes it on my list, though I've only used the free version in my midi class at school. I've been waiting for our teacher to upgrade cause we'll actually have reason adapted and I'll be able to have some fun. in the meantime it's annoying and buggy.
I also hate jeskola buzz, cause the tracker interface is extremely complicated and annoying, and I've never managed to get it to run without crashing anyway.
I could never vote for fruity cause it's what I started on, and what a lot of people I know have started on. it's not the greatest, but it's fun to play around with and learn a lot of important concepts dealing with how to make electronic music, but then again reason and ableton are great for the same reason, and they have an even simpler interface, which is why those are my favorites to play with today.

On the positive side, Live4 seems to be the sequencer to go for (not a single vote, so far)... for those who can afford it
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

Along the lines of what AD80 said; the "sequencer to go for" is not necessarily the one the least people hate. As evidenced by Fruity.jax wrote:On the positive side, Live4 seems to be the sequencer to go for (not a single vote, so far)... for those who can afford it
