In case someone is interested in some fresh Falcon sounds: I just released Falcon Singles - Celtic Harp, a falconized and expanded update for the Celtic harp patches from my MachFive 3-library Scattered Entity. More info can be found here.

It just turns out that everything is way too "fiddly" for my taste. It's really not UVI's fault; look at the awesome things Stockhausen is doing with it. But a demo would have helped me to realize it.
Anyways, not the end of the world, and I'll see if they accept transfers...

Good luck.... waiting since a week for an answerwald wrote:No secretc_voltage wrote: Btw if no secret - what the reason ?

But i agree....it´s really an awesome tool but without demo it was hard to figure out if it works for me and my workflow on a notebook....it doesn´t.
It´s made more for bigger screens and more powerful machines (and more talented and experienced sound designers).

Oh, ok. Although, "fiddly", hm strange, it seemed to me contrary that now (as i already said) interface became more convenient and look good. But i agree the matter of taste.wald wrote:No secretc_voltage wrote: Btw if no secret - what the reason ?

(Just, interface style\colors of MF3 always seemed to me not quite enjoyable by visual, take at least volume faders shape of Part. Although ofcourse it has no relation to the understanding of the engine work, but nonetheless.)

I a bit clarify what I mean about "more convenient" for new intarface, so specifically the files\devices browsing\adding became a much more quickly\better (than in m3), now I was able to appreciate it fully.
Also already tried Pluck and Wavetable
very good. Although ofcourse, always dreaming that will a lot less cpu usage
But it was also in mf3.
I would really like if to Falcon generators would be implemented some "quality level" setting, enabled by optionally ofcourse. This would significantly reduce the load perhaps. For example, aliasing not critical for me at all (even on the contrary, i foud it as interesting effect).

The falcon 1.06 change log says:
"Add free running option for each oscillator in Analog Stack (see Inspector)."
http://www.kvraudio.com/news/uvi-update ... -0-6-32417
I'm looking for this option, but I can't find it. Anyone know where this is?
Thanks!

Oh, found first bug (v106, VST, Win7)
In IRCAM Stretch, all settings by default.
Load sample, and perform next action: set these knobs to minimum - Speed (0,0), Tempo Factor (0,25), and Tempo Fine knob (-50%), and Sample Strart knob to 50% for example, and trigg any note - sound is will not played, and if you wait about 10-15 seconds, the system will completely hang (i make reboot twice).
Perhaps, the problem exactly in Tempo Fine knob work (but i am not sure).
Check it please.
[ADDED]
No, just now IRCAM Stretch make system freeze again but just with Speed and Tempo Factor knobs at minimum, I also changed some other setting in ircam stretch but without Tempo Fine. Damn its sad.

Also, question about parameter "Unison Voices" amount in Layer section - it is available any control pan or spread for its voices amount ? I understand that there is some other solutions of unison and spread (via native generator features or script\event), but interesting exactly for this parameter.

Use unison modulators on keygroup level for pan and pitch.c_voltage wrote:Also, question about parameter "Unison Voices" amount in Layer section - it is available any control pan or spread for its voices amount ? Please, also one moment - "Trigger" button in Amp.Env bottom section - for some reason not triggered sound. As i understand its for manual preview of sound (without pianoroll). Or need do something else for its work.

Doesnt cause anything fatal on my system though it does cause the note on to stay on longer which is visible in Bitwig and my system was very sluggish.c_voltage wrote:Oh, found first bug (v106, VST, Win7)

At slower Speed settings it takes longer for the sample to actually start playing after being triggered.
I only used a short drum sample.
Looking at Task Manager Falcon is was using a whopping 600mb for that little sample, so theres definitely something buggy there

Is Falcon more advanced in the granular synthesis than Motu MachFive or is it the same?
I am so close to buying Falcon after I listened to Simon Stockhausens beautiful patches, but I am also interested in Steinberg Halion 5 ( Halion 6 soon? ) or Padshop Pro for granular synthesis.
Which is the best sounding granular engine right now for pad sounds?

Not sure if this related but I found that with multi granular when I down pitch a sample the cpu use heavily increases until I pitch up the sample. This happens for me with samples of any length. It will use all the available cpu down pitching just one sample.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Doesnt cause anything fatal on my system though it does cause the note on to stay on longer which is visible in Bitwig and my system was very sluggish.c_voltage wrote:Oh, found first bug (v106, VST, Win7)
