I mean jokes aside. Apart from all Dune 3 merits, we now have the sample OSC borrowed from Serum (though I'm sure Serum wasn't first with that, just famous)
DUNE 3 is now available!!

The Dune 3.4 is a pretty big deal, needs more media coverage

Can Serum load 8 different samples in one patch ?

Why don't you calm down for a minute. Did it say anywhere this is the last release of DUNE 3 for Mac?teilo wrote: Fri Jan 29, 2021 11:20 pm Warning: The Apple Silicon build is AU-only, and is not a UniversalBinary2. Why??? Please tell me that this is only temporary. Seriously. This is idiotic. UB2 exists for a reason. Every other plugin provider who has released AS-native plugins has released UB2 binaries for all supported types. Further, Reaper's beta supports native Apple Silicon VSTs, so it's not like that couldn't be tested.
I'm sure they'll get around to supporting all 15 versions needed to satisfy every Mac user.
Your concerns have been reported so take a chill pill and wait for the official response.

It's not unreasonable to expect an AS-native plugin to be UB2, so that it doesn't stop working in a DAW I'm running under Rosetta2. It's trivial, once you have working AS code, to generate a universal binary in XCode. Which is why every other developer who has released native binaries has done so. That's why I said, "Please tell me this is only temporary." And of course I don't think this is the last release, duh. But if they do this on future releases also, that's going to suck.Teksonik wrote: Sat Jan 30, 2021 1:46 amWhy don't you calm down for a minute. And the "15 versions" hyperbole is silly. It's just 2 versions in one package.

It's hardly trivial. If nothing else, poor bloody Richard has to go and spend thousands on a new computer just so he can test it. Honestly, I don't know why he bothers, the hassle Apple creates whenever is suits them would have had me walking away years ago.
