yes, it's awful that apple continually advances the tech; why can't things be like they were in 2003?BONES wrote: Sat Jan 30, 2021 6:46 am It's hardly trivial. If nothing else, poor bloody Richard has to go and spend thousands on a new computer just so he can test it. Honestly, I don't know why he bothers, the hassle Apple creates whenever is suits them would have had me walking away years ago.
i for one am excited about moving to the new architecture; new speed, better ram management. some of us don't fear change, progress.
tech moving forward... is a good thing.

Very good update! Thank you!
Wave import is something I wanted for some time!
New distortion is a welcome feature.
But in honestly I would trade all those for a better preset management
Also i hope there will be a drag and drop sample feature added in the future

Very nice update thanks!
Did anyone play with the Comb filter? I can't seem to figure out how to get a nice keytracking?
With a short burst of noise, whatever position Cutoff is on, Res all the way right, Ktrk all the way right, no way to play a consistent scale. Am I missing something?

It’s possible to advance tech without breaking everything. Every time there is a Mac OS update, something major is broken. Now the M1 (which is a good move for Apple overall) has broken more things but at least is understandable given the architecture change.fisherKing wrote: Sat Jan 30, 2021 12:55 pmyes, it's awful that apple continually advances the tech; why can't things be like they were in 2003?BONES wrote: Sat Jan 30, 2021 6:46 am It's hardly trivial. A developer will really have to consider the cost to benefit ratio of continuing to fix issues that Apple breaks. Would it be ok for these devs to start charging for updates for such things?
Everyone hates the Waves WUP but you will start to see this more and more, especially for the Apple versions of products.

Not sure what you are doing exactly, would have to see the patch. Please try the patch "Comb Delight RH" in the Leads category, it uses 100% keytracking, you can use that as a starting point.EdSfer wrote: Sat Jan 30, 2021 1:04 pm Very nice update thanks!

Why would you want to use Intel code on a M1 machine? Obviously the performance is much worse. This is why developers make native M1 code. Also note that you can use the Intel installers on your M1, it just does not make any sense in our opinion. And pretty much every DAW maker is going to release M1 updates soon anyway.teilo wrote: Fri Jan 29, 2021 11:20 pm Why??? Please tell me that this is only temporary. Seriously. This is idiotic. UB2 exists for a reason. Every other plugin provider who has released AS-native plugins has released UB2 binaries for all supported types. Further, Reaper's beta supports native Apple Silicon VSTs, so it's not like that couldn't be tested.

This beast keeps gettting better.
One small thing I would like to see are some arrow buttons for selecting samples from within the same folder. It's cumbersome having to open the browser every time you want to change sample.
