M4M, I love what you've done with a chair, and keyboard stand and some socks on the couch  Is that acoustic treatment :hihi:

Hehe. Give me a year or two, maybe I'll get around to it.

... interior designer...?

Might take you up on that at some point. I'm just starting up at the moment however: still trying to decide if I need to buy a desk, or if I can get away with spending the money on mic pres instead...

Sorry for being stupid but how do I put a photo here :bang:

Bounce, you have to upload it to someplace on the web (your sight or some free photo site) and link to it. But it has to be someplace that allows direct links. KVR doesn't store any photos/music.

I have to be strategic when taking the time to make music due to a wife and a 3 year old kid (and another one coming) who needs my attention too, so I have broken down my main studio into three minor studios.

Here is the recording studio up under the roof. Small room indeed.

Yamaha YP50 Digital Piano (controller), MS-20 controller, N-ear 04 monitors

JP8000 , Alpha Juno 1, Behringer Eurorack UB802 mixer,

Behringer Denoiser SNR2000, Behringer Virtualizer DSP1000, Alesis Nano Compresser (for mic), Behringer Tube ultragain (for mic) + unused sound cards.

When the wife and kid fall asleep on the first floor, I can not make noise up under the roof anymore, so I have to go downstairs. Fortunately, I have hidden this pack-up-and-pack-down performance system in a closet and off we go to the dinner table:

Mopho, E-MU MP7 groovebox, Microkorg. No need for a mixer because you can use MP7 as line mixer if you plug stereo cables into it's effect sends.

Finally, I have in all 2 hours transport in train to and from work that I will spend on my Travellers Kit:

Mopho + loads of softcream on an Akoya Netbook E1210

Gotta steal the time for music that I can!

How does that work? Do you use Y cables (or insert cables depending on where you're from) and just use the connector labeled 'ring'?

I have an XL-7 and tried to do the same thing but failed. The I was trying to use the sub outs as outputs and inputs at the same time. That might not work. :hihi:

Yes, it is a little tricky because you have to reverse the phase of a normal stereo cable, therefore a couple of normal stereo cables won't do.

I do like this:

1 stereo jack (or a stereojack converter with a mini-jack-to-two-phones) goes to two phone cables, which goes to a phone-to-stereo-jack converter

Image

All you have to do now is NOT to plug the red he-phone into the red she-reciever (see arrow on picture) on the phone-to-stereo jack converter, but vice versa, red goes to white (or black) and you are there.

All the Best

Is the inner set a pair of Wharfedales? They look kinda familiar and I have a pair of 8.1 actives.

Yeah, they're 8.2's. Just got them yesterday, but they seem pretty good so far.
