Why the hostility??? I thought you would want to know that he's a reputable reviewer.LeVzi wrote: Fri Apr 29, 2022 7:04 amWell i'd never heard of him, and just taking something off facebook isn't the best of sources, so I said it with a disclaimer.cel4145 wrote: Thu Apr 28, 2022 1:55 pmHow true what is?LeVzi wrote: Thu Apr 28, 2022 6:13 am As reliable as facebook isn't, I did see a post about someone who's been beta testing the 1.5.1 update.
How true this is , your guess is as good as mine, but there is a video
Looks promising.
Databroth is well known as a plug-in tester who takes plugins quite extensively through their paces. And he created some of the presets for Vital. He definitely knows it inside and out.
That ok with you ?

That's good point actually, maybe it's what makes it popular, you can use free version and pay for soundsets, but this doesn't seems to work for developer profit.cel4145 wrote: Wed Apr 27, 2022 10:43 pmWhat kind of feature are you thinking?VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Wed Apr 27, 2022 9:04 pm I'm still free user and still don't get why pro continue to be almost the same as free - better to upgrade and give us a reason to pay for missing stuff, just an opinion...
Seems kind of a bad idea to have a free version and a pro version, where the same presets won't work on both. Kind of creates a big problem for both the preset sharing community, and the professional preset developers who are selling presets.
If i buy pro version which is different from free one will make sets for pro users who pay for synth and sets as any other paid synths and sets, because offer exceptional sound or features.
Free stuff lead to more free stuff and starving developers:)
Red cross may work this way,but pro music doesn't
Cheers:)

Yes. Eventually, if there's enough free stuff, that might affect the mediocre preset developers.VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Tue May 03, 2022 6:24 pm That's good point actually, maybe it's what makes it popular, you can use free version and pay for soundsets, but this doesn't seems to work for developer profit.

But right now, there are people doing YouTube Vital tutorials on creating presets, and even giving away a few, who are also selling preset packs. It seems like what they're able to do is leverage the free version to build their brand to sell presets.
There have to be people who are into presets, but who don't want to spend more money on yet another synth. If they see a Vital preset pack they want, they can just download Vital for free.
So I suspect this works out just as well or better for those who are selling good preset packs.

For those who are unaware, every month there has been a free patch sharing thread at the Vital forums. There is a link where you can download all the previous month's submissions as well.
Here's the link to the April thread:

it's already native in the 1.5.1 beta for users who paid for the Pro version.
the others will most likely get it when it has been finalized.
also, there's an unofficial one made by someone else for 1.0.8 or 1.0.7, available in one thread in the Vital forum

Been awhile since I sang Vital's praises... so
Its still my #1 go to for over 2 years and frankly no synth out there comes close for the way I work with sounds. The new 1.51 update just keeps heaping extra tasty topping on top of already tasty toppings.
I'd buy Vital as a hardware synth without delay.

Does it have the ability to simulate feedback (like in Surge, for example, or massive)?

Is there new things added to v1.51? I mean Windows version. I have v1.0.7 (Pro license), so is there any new version? Beta (Windows)?Psuper wrote: Fri May 06, 2022 10:11 pm Been awhile since I sang Vital's praises... so![]()
