I think I'll install windows Vista in the year 2008!
I really think Scanned Synth is Coola, very unique sound, and fun to play with. Great Gui as always by amoebe!
I have had no problems running it with Cubase SX3

Well, blasphemous as it seems, I've created a new skin for SS:

I really just wanted to shoehorn everything onto one screen, I don't like multipage guis and there didn't really seem enough controls to justify one imho... Simply resizing the existing gfx didn't really work so I changed them (mistake #1...) Also used Inkscape for the first time (which is why the line up is crap

). Not sure I like the way it renders text, fuzzier than other apps for sure.

Anyway, enough excuses, maybe it'll be of use to someone else...

edit: so, like, does this imageshack ever work properly??? they say use a thumbnail to save bandwidth yet you can't seem to link to the full size image. Even editting the link manually still sends you to the thumbnail...

Don't click the image , but a little to the right of it, and you get the full size...

i must be stupid I can still only get the thumbnail...

looking at this pages source, it appears to insert an extra link; an empty one to the fullsize pic and the main one to the thumbnail...

Maybe a KVR fault..?

sorry if this has already been covered... I know that the knobs/sliders can be set using MIDI controls, but is it possible to use a MIDI control to load a preset "sound"? ie I'd love to be able to set all the controls for a certain sound/effect and save them, then use a MIDI control to select-and-load from those preset sounds/effects rather than having to load each setting from the sound/effect separate via the sliders/knobs

It is not currently possible to actually load a preset from disk using a MIDI controller. However, Scanned Synth Pro and Scanned Synth Mini will handle MIDI Program Change messages so if your MIDI keyboard/controller can generate these then you can switch between presets this way. Also, the mapping of MIDI controllers to parameters will be saved as part of each preset and there will be support for channel pressure ("mono aftertouch") as a controller as well.

By the way, the current target release date for Scanned Synth Pro is 22nd April. Scanned Synth Mini should be released at the same time or very slightly after.

you linked a thumbnail image...

remove the .th from the link, imageshack has a few code like things listed on final upload page
you can find the full version by looking at the page.... use the url one, think its at the bottom.
