Brilliant! Cheers mrblitz for taking the time to review all the tracks before the voting thread has opened! :hihi:

If you dont mind, I'll copy and paste your comments in said voting thread .. which will be posted tomorrow.

Still about 10 hours to go according to KVR time. :)

A little cause for celebration though. This comp saw the total number of OSC submissions in all comps go waaaaay beyond 100! (.... as it stands, I make it 114 ) ... in just over 6 months ... between us we are creating a new and original piece of music something like every 36 hours! I like it! :)

Cheers Tattie , I was just asking if it was Gargoyle or not. Turns out it is 8)

Doubt if I'll be on Linux for this one as it's all still a bit new and my "free" computer already has new parts on the way from Ebay to upgrade it.

My 2.6 Celeron for £2 was an absolute bargain imho

Cheers,

Actually to tell the truth I only have and know one album of hers - "NORTONCOMPUTERFORPEACE", but I really like it.

Something similar happened to me - the company I worked for in Scotland was bought by an Italian company and then closed down. I had the chance to go and work in Italy on a 2-year contract or be out of work. At the end of the 2 years I couldn't go back because I had met and was planning to marry an Italian girl so, together with a couple of friends we set up a new business on our own. I'm living in the beautiful countryside of Umbria - Massa Martana, not far from Terni.
Mac of BIOnighT wrote: By the way, do you know Syn, from Scotland? http://www.synmusic.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ His works are among the finest Berlin School albums you could find, releases thru the same label I do.
Thanks for the heads-up. Never heard of Syn before, but I'll definately be checking him out.

Glyn

I only have it on vinyl (her early, pre-techno stuff has never been released on CD) and haven't heard it for decades :( I know I loved it. If you can, try to find Personal Computer and Artificial Intelligence; these two are killers, very cold - iceal, actually, but incredibly fascinating (all recorded step by step via the computer keyboard, she wrote all the sequencing software etc. Genius!)

Thanks, I'll look out for them.

I'm not claiming to be a genius or anything, but my first midi music was recorded using a step sequencer that I wrote for the Amstrad CPC128 (my Timelines album), using a self-designed midi interface. Before that an un-released album was created entirely on a home-made modular including a 16-step analogue sequencer (we're talking way back in 1986 or so). I got into electronics because of my interest in electronic music and synthesisers (since I was about 10). Now electronics is my job, and music is just a self-financing hobby.

Glyn
