no, this version has only midi-input
It doesn't matter how it sounds..
..as long as it has BASS and it's LOUD!

in normal conditions it happens so fast you almost never see it
but if it remains on screen, it means one of two things:
1) the sequencer has frozen
2) it hasn't cleared the display

basically if you see LEDs blinking - it can't be #1 more likely #2

btw, i suspect FLStudio will reset the plugin on start/stop, that would make the sequencer reboot, which is not great ;]
in that case you would have to leave 1 or more empty bars before you start the VB-303
Now is working...in Fl studio ,must go to settings>Audio and uncheck "reset plugins on transport" finaly the message ""NONSEQ Please wait, booting C:\program files\vst" is gone ,all is working now:D

Ok thanks, I prefer midi input anyway ^^ But sometimes I have to enter the code five times before it get unlocked, sometimes I have to reload the entire project :D

I can't use this.
No sound when using a midi keyboard.
Looks awesome though.

Can't use the host sync either in Reaper.

When I hit play in Reaper ,the Gui of Venom says "rebooting".

Also ,When I select midiplay,I can see the buttons being pressed on the Venom but no sound.

Very complicated vst. :help: :(

P.S. Had a look at the youtube tutorial.
A bit over my old head.

Love the sound of it but can't understand the programming side of using it.

Smasha, i found this useful and simple tutorial:

http://www.vintagesynth.com/roland/p303.php

you have to use your midi keyboard, please read the manual.

now we know why 303s used to go for 80quid.

in fact: you can get started with it using random pattern
load at first. set it to 'host' and input a midi not on the
same midi channel specified on the plugin, and start play.
now you can change the patterns using the key buttons and
bank switches. then go and read the manual.
(all the patterns will randomise each time you start the plugin)

Post

Internal sync mode is easier while learning how to use the sequencer, you simply press the RUN/STOP button

the patterns are not randomized each time you start the plugin, but only the very first time you load an instance (in other words - the default preset is special)
as for me, i'm gonna do the same sequencer interface on the x0xb0x now (with the cpumod)
It doesn't matter how it sounds..
..as long as it has BASS and it's LOUD!

antto has made it hard to use it with midi input, bcs
the idea is to use the onboard sequencer. and once you
suss out how that works, the 303 sequencer is in fact
a very logical way of entering notes and timing.

Post

Antto, are you making a x0xb0x VSTi?!? :D

DuX: a different sequencer (OS) for the x0xb0x:

the same sequencer as in the TB-303 adapted to the x0xb0x

Thank you sir.

P.S. I followed the first part but couldn't get it to work sorry.

Shame it sounds great.

Read the manual.
LOST lol.

Love the sound.
Wish we could just use the piano roll for the notes and automation for the filters.

If you see the buttons moving while playing midi note it means you are playing on the wrong midi channel, try to change "trigger" to 1.

After finded the best TM3 and reso boost value, maybe any1 can help with a detailed help with ADC deblock and DC click remove rear side options?

I like the midi unlock feature :) dont be lazy humans!!!! :D

Post

Tuth: the ADC DC-Block is a simple 1st order HPF which is there to simulate your usual soundcard's AC coupling, aka it doesn't do anything special (it's useful for me when i'm comparing against my x0xb0x)
the DC-Click thing is a small detail related to the BA6110 used in the x0xb0x (while the TB-303 uses a different chip BA662)
my x0x has a small DC offset due to the 6110 and that's the default setting, if you turn it to 100 - you completely remove this offset (that's how it would be with the 662)
this doesn't make much difference, unless you use extreme distortion

these are more technical adjustments, you don't need to bother

TM3, ResoBoost, TM4 and TM5 should be set to taste

Thank you!!!! The TM pots tuned to my favour. And the DC offset to 100. Now all ok. Everything works like a charm, midi play, sequencer programing etc. . (after lerned) Now im very very pleased and happy human. :D
