Sunrizer Sunrizer synth

Post

From what i read in the Audiobus forum the developer says that Sunrizer (also XS) will get updates soon (whatever soon means).
Not sure what happens with the desktop plug-in.
I also hope that he ports his new synth Zeeon which is iOS only yet since i think it is the best sounding polyphonic synth for analog/vintage sound (beside P900 maybe) and that for 10 bucks only.
Maybe iOS is just the better market for Beepstreet :?:

I don't know / use LinPlug. I was bringing up my experience, mostly because... not being able to use basic control like sustain - hobbles this synth. It's doesn't really matter how many libs are available, or how many sounds you can play through it.. IMO - without basic control, it is just a blippy noise-maker. Hardly worth throwing $50 bucks away on.. That's just one man's opinion though. If you like the demo, and are willing to roll the dice.. that some OS update doesn't render it completely useless - g'luck and all the best. :tu:
I'm sorry you are having sustain pedal issues,as you made it clear it's very important to you....but seriously, who really uses a sustain pedal on a synth??
Never in the last 30 years, have I ever needed and used a sustain pedal for my synths(as if I want more release,I just adjusted the envelope controls.)
For nearly most of us,a lack of external sustain control, just isn't a deal breaker(especially for a magnificent sounding $50 soft-synth.)
Throwing away $50?Sunrizer is just a blippy noise-maker?Rolling the dice on a potentially useless synth?Really?A bit overly dramatic...wouldn't you say?
As for OS updates...I have plenty of synths that are several years old, that work just fine in my current DAW's....but if by some remote chance that Sunrizer gives me any stability issues,I always keep older versions of my DAW's and since I have 3 different brands of DAW's...the chances of me having any problems are so remote,it's not even worth mentioning.

Don't quite get the fuss about the Beepstreet stuff, i must admit. It doesn't sound THAT great really...

XS isn't 64-bit compatible so I imagine it will be gone from the App Store soon.
As for myself,I am only interested in the VST version of Sunrizer.

Well...you are certainly entitled to your opinion(that is,if you are deaf...or if all of your equipment is coated with a hydrophobic compound & you're using scuba gear,to record your music in an underwater studio.)
Seriously though...just because Sunrizer doesn't suit your specific wants, doesn't mean it's sonic qualities are inferior....or lackluster in any way.
Fact is,there really isn't any soft-synths out there,that match Sunrizer's offerings at this price point(except perhaps,some of TubeOhm's synths.)
There are plenty of synths out there that cost twice as much, that don't sound half as good.

Sunrizer sounds like no other synth that I own. And on top of that, it's my 19th best selling library out of the 51 that I've released so far, so somebody out there must like it.

I think Sunrizer was one of the best early IOS synths. Any attempts I would make to justify this opinion would be an after the fact rationalization. I simply enjoy playing it--though many of the presets are not to my taste.

But now there is Beepstreet's Zeeon, a 64-bit IOS synth!

Zeeon sounds amazing and i'm impressed how a 10 dollar app from a small developer blows most of my "famous" plug-ins away.
Maybe it's just my taste but i really want Zeeon as plug-in. Willing to pay 10 times more which still would be cheap compared to other synths.

I constantly use a sustain pedal... Wouldn't want to do without it. No sustain would be a near deal breaker for me.

Me too - but not seeing the problem - Sunrizer does support sustain. Although it does have its bugs too I love it.

Thanks aMUSEd! You're right about the sustain?? Looks like that was fixed a while back... and I had missed it.

Just hoping they update this, it blows me away how good it sounds compared to the CPU usage, I can't think of a better sounding synth that uses so little CPU (hardly moves the CPU meter). Also outstanding sound design - both the factory banks and addons (especially those by Alba Ecstasy) - such a simple synth and yet capable of a great rage of expression.
