Discarded - it only allows one midi channel. Absolutely worthless for live work unless your instrument is pushing buttons (which is fine, just not for me). I like to run 12+ channels off of a midi guitar. There's not a lot of 'live' in Live.

Yeah, beyond that, it filters out polyphonic aftertouch and has no support for MPE. I gave up on MIDI guitar and moved to using a Roli Rise and the hoops you have to jump though to get it to work just became untenable. I moved to Bitwig and although I miss Live’s Looper, I don’t regret it.

Are there any good midi guitars?

My man David is flexing his shiny "ableton Lesson" tab in the interview. I think I can no longer leave ableton. Halp.

Can’t say about actual MIDI guitars, but my Triple-Play pickup works very well

Well, that's one comprehensive list if you ever need one ;)

Now I'm waiting for similar thing about Bitwig, because - frankly - Bitwig doesn't have most of those things either :help:

I run regular midi guitar set to 'no pitchbend' for triggering pads/patterns and quantize the input to 1/4. It works great - it can be 6 simultaneous mono keyboards plus any combination of poly's I want (try that with a keyboard - got 6 hands?), I just split & recombine the channels in my DAW. I run a Triple-Play for freestyle expressive stuff (and pull the same splits/combo's with it).

Short answer - Yes, they're all good. But you have to take them as they are and tweak a bit of stuff.

Stability>creative plugins. I have almost never heard a good thing about Live since they introduced Max.
Some selected titles of post from reddit: "Ableton" (most of these are from a few days ago)...............
They got another Hot 330comments Topic covering m4l aspects and others despite shilling mod's effort for mocking OP :!:

I cannot decipher the meaning behind your comment...
Btw, I doubt Guetta not knowing Live - this help menu opens on its own sometimes for no reason when you reload (after a crash, but not only, idk what triggers it) (I don't joke)

There were 400+ comments topic in Reddit/r/ableton titled "Unpopular opinions about Ableton Live". The OP saying "LFO shouldn't be a M4L device" as frequently suggested. In that thread, one of the mods was whining "I hate threads like these blah blah"

It could be. (Built-in lesson tab was feature also in his instagram.) To be honest I like his songs though I don't know who actually composed.

I always loved that built in help in Ableton. I wished other DAW's would adopt that. Nothing more distracting than having to have the manual opened at all times.

Well, 100 % his early music was not written and produced by him.
Still, you can't be in mus. industry for 20 years and not learn anything /make at least some decent songs on your own, so he probably produces most of his music these days.
Still, I will be surprised that anyone would actively need Live's manual (excluding the Max part). It is super intuitive and stripped out of menus and functionality that may confuse novices (imagine introducing someone to DAWs with Cubase, Reaper or DP... the poor guy will have a hard time).

I don't think it's that. If you watch YT tutorials or streams, many people really don't care about real estate - they run their DAW in a window with system icons & other stuff around it, with file browser taking 3rd of the screen, with all the track header tabs for inputs, crossfades, delays even if they never use it and they end up working in this tiny space that's left - it's all the see and all they need. Personally, this drives me crazy, but there's a lot of people like that :help:

How they ruined <Vol.3> The Simpler. One of the keystone that had been made ableton being attractive.

Weird workflow

Now you are in Amplitude Env. tab

Let's play with other mode.

Ok, going back to Classic Mode.

Nice. Tab changed to Pitch Env. by itself.

Ruined? It’s now unusable?
