I saw that accSone recently updated crusher-X 10 to 11. They included some really nice features, some much needed workflow enhancements, and a fresh UI that I think looks much better.
It really is an advanced, granular effect plug-in with amazing capabilities! I’m really happy that they reworked the UI and preset handling. Anything that helps to make crusher-X a bit more user friendly is a welcome addition. And version 11 is awesome!!

crusher-X is great, and ultra powerful. Maybe even too much, it's literally killing a fly with a bazzooka for the most common use. Unless you're into some deep experimental granular stuff. It's interface is cryptic and not very fun to use.
I have 2 favorite granular effect. First is the very old but never equaled Audioease Riverrun. So easy and simple to use, but sounds absolutely stellar no matter what. The sound is always rich and lush. Haven't found anything like it yet. It's dead and discontinued now unfortunately.
Second favorite coming very close is, for most cases, especially ''musically'' as some people like to call it, is definitely Arturia's Fragments. It does everything a granular tool has to do, and does it very easily within the range of a few clicks: soundscapes, pads, grain delay, frozen sounds, time stretching, shimmering pitch stuff, particle effects, you name it. It pretty much covers all my granular needs and basically ended my quest for granular. At least for some time
