AFAIK they are the same installation. When I bought mine nothing had to be reinstalled, things just got authorised. So you should be able to install from those individual downloads without any problems. The problems might arise once you want to buy and authorise them off line.BBFG# wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 4:56 amThese I know, but there's no equivalent for the demos to move to the offline computer. I'm not sure what this is referring to, but Korg Software Pass does not delete its downloaded files; they are absolutely available for installing on an offline computer. Please let me know what you're seeing that led to this concern.BBFG# wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 5:33 pm I almost pulled the trigger on buying this upgrade last night. The EP-1 being the favorite of the three latest, Vox being second, and the 2600 being a nice rounding out. I had passed on the previous offer, because the plugins in that offer felt useless for me (and still do).
Anyway, I was prompted to update these demos and the way the manager is now downloading/installing/deleting had me concerned as it won't let me save those downloads for installing on my offline computer. Is there a way to do this? Or is this the only way going forward? If so, I'll be forced to be done with Korg...

Which sound(s), specifically? Please let me know!BONES wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 12:15 pm Something I've discovered in trying to fit the 2600 into a few songs is that some of the factory sounds have patch cords that don't do anything. A lead patch I was working on today had about 10-12 patch cords but I was able to remove 5 of them without it having any effect on the sound.

Try this - it uses a single LFO, with positive and negative offsets courtesy of the voltage processors, and then uses the new multiplier processors to combine them with the AR output.Sound Author wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 8:58 am Does anyone know if there's a way to have a poly patch that pans each note left and right...but with note release from the AR envelope? So far I've been able to get autopanning by using the electronic switch, but to get note release to work with it is a head-scratcher.

Of course it is, it's the same core s Win 11, but it's not supported officially because they don't want to have to maintain a Win10 installation for testing purposes, which seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Oh that's a neat trick! Not exactly what I meant, but definitely useful!danatkorg wrote: Tue Aug 06, 2024 7:14 amTry this - it uses a single LFO, with positive and negative offsets courtesy of the voltage processors, and then uses the new multiplier processors to combine them with the AR output.Sound Author wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 8:58 am Does anyone know if there's a way to have a poly patch that pans each note left and right...but with note release from the AR envelope? What I'm going for is when you play a note, that note is hard panned left, then the next note is hard panned right, and each note just teeter-totters back & forth from left-to-right.
You can do this easily with mono patches by plugging the VCA output into the C input of the Electronic Switch, and then triggering the Electronic Switch with a gate signal or a keyboard trigger, then running the A & B outputs out into the left & right mixer inputs. It works great for mono patches and teeter-totters left & right just like a described. Beautiful. No problems there.
But with polyphony, something strange happens with this setup. The Electronic Switch doesn't pan left & right with each note press. It pans with every 2 or 3 notes for some reason. Maybe there's some sort of voice allocation having this effect on the Electronic Switch.

Question for the group. Is the authentication for this software suite like Roland Cloud where it pings home all the time or is it something better ? I keep having issues with Roland Cloud in the middle of projects and I’m ready to switch instruments.

Korg's is a lot more hands-off than Roland. There's an app that downloads updates for you and handles authorizations, but it only does it on initial install, and doesn't make you log back in all the time. Much closer to, say, Arturia's or NI's.

Licenses are stored in a file on disk. After you've authorized the software, you're done; no further calls home.S1000HD wrote: Fri Aug 09, 2024 5:45 pm Question for the group. Thanks everyone this is what I’m looking for. I want to play presets and save new patches without a cloud manager telling me they can’t connect.dumbledog wrote: Fri Aug 09, 2024 6:00 pm Korg's is a lot more hands-off than Roland. I do like the character and it sounds like an actual ARp 2600 (unlike cherry audio's attempt ) but I honoustly expected a bit more .
It still struggles with extreme filter fm even at 4 times oversampling .at 60%
Pass for me , still a great sounding synth but imho just not there yet
