That would affect a lot of existing presets. Like, almost all of them.brok landers wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 5:21 pm I understand. But you could set the osc levels internally as they are now but at half way of the level knobs and make that default. That way one could push the oscs hotter into the filter with the Ränge above half way. That way no gui change would be necessary. So no added clutter.

There are no factory presets yet, as it was mentioned in the first post... The objective of beta testing is to gather patch submissions from users (along with catching any leftover bugs of course).

As Vortifex says, it's not that easy. We have locked the DSP for sound design purposes so we cannot change parameter ranges willy-nilly anymore. This affects saved patches and automation in DAW projects. So this is not the way to go. And we don't want to dilute things further by cramming Surge's parameter extend functionality to OB-Xf (might as well just keep using Surge then).brok landers wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 5:21 pmI understand. Interesting! Does that say that OB-Xf is a 100% subset of Surge?EvilDragon wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 6:22 pm And we don't want to dilute things further by cramming Surge's parameter extend functionality to OB-Xf (might as well just keep using Surge then).
All sounds possible with OB-Xf are possible with Surge?

Not quite. OB-Xf has different oscillators and all modulation runs per sample instead of block-wise, and envelopes are different. So there are some differences. Remember, this is a completely different codebase historically.whassup wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 6:48 pmInteresting! We have just submitted 32 presets from Ocean Swift to EvilDragon and the team, so there's some presets coming in the next updates

Menus scale with zoom level set by the OS, this is consistent with how OS menus behave.

Could you tell me how some dev have figure out the problem ?EvilDragon wrote: Wed Oct 08, 2025 7:29 am Menus scale with zoom level set by the OS, this is consistent with how OS menus behave.
Like Gforce, Arturia, U-he, Spire, UAD, Native and many others
Gforce is probably the only one with an scale option for menu.
And why it's wrong with other dev like Softube
Korg Ospix suck, not Multi/Poly and Modwave
Ik Multimedia V5 was ok, V6 is bad
I'm not trying to argue, I want to understand

It's a choice, not a problem, I think. U-he is using OS native menus, so that is handled by the OS. No choice there - you have to set it up in the OS settings.
I remember with Surge we had users reporting menus increasing their size with zoom level as a bug, so we reverted it. It seems user expectation at large seems to differ from your expectation...
Also IIRC GForce only has separate zoom option for patch browser font scaling, not for menus. They are just automatically scaling the menu sizes with the zoom level (which is NOT what the OS menus would do, so it works against typical user expectation in fact).
But this is getting off-topic a bit

I'm scaling win11 at 175%, using the max UI scale in the plugin
It's no an expection, it's just unusable. Only an aigle can read that
