Erm i really am not sure about that one jimi: you use Audacity for recording/editing and mixing IIRC? well i never have worked with Audacity. I mainly use Pro Tools, Live & Renoise but i pretty much never use automation (apart from in live as it just records it all without me having to do anything which is pretty sweet). I will try auto-mating it in Ableton Live and let you know mate and you could try e-mailing them for a better answer as they are really sound guys and will no doubt get back to you as quickly as they canpinkjimiphoton wrote:hi dean..NEKRO.MACHINE wrote:Its free black magic matepinkjimiphoton wrote:Dean, that brainworx pluggie you reccomended RAWKS like a cat 19 hurricane!
thanks for the tip suh!!!!![]()

And no problems at all: i use their plug-ins alot, the Mid/Side thing offer is quite a unique take on typical M/S processing. All the payware plug-ins are available for demo: the bx_digital is a superb EQ/Mid/Side tool and general swiss army kniff jimi but not cheap however its really good when companies offer little gifts like that for free and now its right their in your folder for your mixing pleasure![]()
If someone ever put together an essential freeware list then the brainworx solo would be in my top ten for sure
Catch you soon buddy
Dean
i am using that feckin plug on everything, you guys are gonna have to delete it from my daw pretty soon!!!
lol...
is there any way to automate it?
i'd love to do a left right rather than a front to back fade..
i think it would be cool as hell if it could be set to sweep the stereo width to the point it dissapears!
I just read the bx_control PDF manual and it does not mention anything about automation (the bx_control is like the bigger brother of the bx_solo and a full demo can be downloaded from their website) so it beats me until i give it a try in PT, Live and also Renoise to see if it will automate. So i will get back to you jimi as soon as i can (beware that if you download the free demo of the bx_control plug-in you will want to buy it straight after playing around with it though! it has a mono maker control which works upto 22Khz! as well as much more stuff jimi so i have warned you: but in the best possible way!)
As the bx_solo comes with no manual then some of these may work on the bx_solo even though they are taken from the bx_control plug-in manual:
Quote from the bx_control manual:
I just did some routing for information about Audacity and the application use's a VST Bridge to access VST plug-ins so this *could* be the problemSHIFT / MOUSE CLICK on any knob will change the bx_control's
knob behaviour (toggle between LINEAR and CIRCULAR)
- ALT / MOUSE CLICK: will reset any knob to its initial value
- APPLE key (MAC) or WIN key (PC) plus MOUSE CLICK (or SCROLL
WHEEL USE above any parameter!) will allow for FINE TUNING of
any knob.
- SCROLL WHEEL CONTROL: place your mouse above any knob and
turn the mouse wheel to increase / decrease values.
- Individual BYPASS: click on ANY FEATURE LABELING to switch it ON
(WHITE letters!) or OFF (GREY letters!). Very handsome feature to
COMPARE your settings with the unprocessed signal, e.g. to monitor
the METER TOOLS while adjusting / comparing your settings. Also,
any bypassed feature of the bx_control will not use any CPU / DSP
power.
- if you prefer to TYPE IN values into your plug-ins you may use
THESE shortcuts to save time:
o "L" for LEFT 100%
o "R" for RIGHT 100%
o "C" for CENTER
o "-L" or "xL" or "x L" for LEFT with value x
o "-R" or "xR" or "x R" for RIGHT with value x
o "R" can also be typed as "r", the same goes for "C" and "L".
o MONO MAKER:
10.000 Hz can be typed in as "10k", 12.000 Hz would be
"12k", etc.
"m" or "M" will set the MONO MAKER to "MONO".
*again never used this so i am not sure*
Speak to you soon friend

Take a look at the left column. There is a link called Downloads. Use it. Browse to the category you want to see. Click on the proper link to download the plugin you want.
