Thank you sir. Does this patch also contain the fix for the missing alts?
Yes. These are the release patches that will be replaced in the OWD kit 1 and 2 downloads for anyone who hasn't downloaded yet.

Granted I haven't checked them myself but I have been assured by the team that this has been fixed. If not then let me know and the person who messed up will be fed to live sharks which we have and just a press of the button sends them into the tank. I run a tight ship. :D

By the way, the fun discussion about food needs its own thread so we don't keep spamming the people that want to talk drums and music. But by all means the links and info is interesting. Portugal, Italy, Japan... bring it on. http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 25#3924325

It looks like instead of replacing instruments and multis I now have dups of everything: VDRM and VDRUM. Unfortunately I don't remember which was the original...Are the VDRUM instruments and multis the new ones from this patch?

They're aware of it & working on it - I have the same issue :)

squids...forgive my naivety 'cause i aint a drummer.......

been thinking of what you said about the footpedal-hat being before the tip hit in a pattern to silence the open

a question.....from a drummer perspective, does the footpedal replace the first beat after the close
I think most rock drummers would stick hit the hi-hat as it closed instead of waiting for the next eighth note, but it is a moot point. Either way, you physically cannot play a closed hi-hat while the same hi-hat is ringing a previous open note, so it should be cut off (unless some more elegant solution is available).

Now if people want to determine whether the hat is in fact open or closed based on a CC# or whatever e-drum pedal uses, that needs to be supported, but that is a separate issue.

(Edit: It occurs to me randomly that if there is really great scripting for openness as a CC#, the keyboard player could consider using expression pedal himself and then his keyboard map would only need tip hit, edge hit, etc.)

Kit 1 dry is sounding great, by the way!
i thought so (originally) which is why i thought that the closed hat should choke regardless because it aint possible to play closed without the pedal down....but if this also chokes some other things it causes a problem...

i guess i'll just have to wait and try it out...how ironic if i ended up having to request the old stylee from squids...that dave's gonna make me sweat for it :D

Please tell me again why you aren't testing this with us already?

Moot!!!!!

Also, the little "M" button on the instrument kit pieces is a moot button. It's an enhanced mute button that makes that kit piece no longer relevant. A proprietary feature only found in this. :D

Actually we're right near the Everglades so I might switch to Gators. Or maybe put the Gators and Sharks together and see who wins.... hmmm, who WOULD win you think? I mean it depends on the water but let's say water aside?

And here I was trying to keep us on topic and making that cuisine thread... now it's fish vs. amphibians. Over 100,000 views for this load of old bullocks? (I spelled it that way on purpose... we have a department store in the US called BULLOCK'S and my friends from the UK laugh everytime they see it).

VDRM is the old version, and VDRUM is today's update.

just waiting till it's all sign off, good and ready...all the patches are working...the alts are in place...the graphics look right, everyone's happy , downloaded and the server traffic is at green

truth is i've been otherwise occupied today , getting my bootcamp volume up and runnng and it's now 1:37 in the morning...time for inane posting but not time to start with this whole shenanigans ( can't believe that made it through spellcheck , first time).....i didn't realise i should've been testing...i thought i was being helpful by hanging round at the back

That's it. Mike is being fed to the Gators and Sharks. It's supposed to be VDRM. It never ends... I feel like I am in Ground Hog Day. I think I might learn French and hit on what's her name. Actually the girl from Bordeaux I mentioned looked a lot like that actress... the one from Ground Hog Day. Forget her name... Andie Macdowell? Imagine a french Andie Macdowell... not you can see why two finger drummers were competing for her. ;)

Here's what I'm seeing after loading the patches:

Kit 1 has a VDRM instrument group that contains both VDRM & VDRUM instruments. Kit 1 also has both VDRM & VDRUM multis that load the respective instruments.

Kit 2 has a VDRM instrument group that contains only VDRM instruments. Kit 2 has only a VDRM multi.

It's a little confusing, maybe it would be better to remove everything and reload from the new zips that get released shortly? If so, is that just a matter of removing the "Ultimate Studio Drums" folders under the Infinite Player folder?

Post

Actually... is it maybe better that it does say VDRUM instead of VDRM so you can tell you have the new one? Originally we intended to just REPLACE it automatically but... perhaps this was a good mistake? It means you have to just trash the VDRM one though... let me know what you think and we'll either leave it as is or swap it out.

So to be clear the one that says VDRUM at the end is new.

The other kit maps - iMap and GM are just replaced completely.

So does that mean Kit 2 didn't get the update? (See above post)
