Thanks for the tip, I am going to check it out. Yes, I am using recursion, but it won't exit without scanning the other dir's too. Check your pm's.

Problem solved! (see top post for solution) Happily registered user now.
Does anyone have issues with the ImageLine range of plugins in jBridge?
Some of them are fine (the newer ones like Morphine, Biohazard, etc.) but others like WASP seem to cause problems.
(interestingly, the Steinberg VSTBridge in Cubase 5 won't recognise _any_ of my ImageLine plugins...)

Hi!
Regarding wasp, I just tried its demo, it doesn't seem to work in Windows 7 x64 ( it crashes while it's being loaded, that is, not in my code ).
I'll try it in a XP machine later.

Hello !
I a m a Happy-Happy User of your wonderful bridge, i am using it fine with cubase 5 studio 64 bits on a Win seven 64 bits. the setup is smooth , except the "first session hang bug " in cubase 5, but it doesnt matter.
So ! everything was ok until UAD relases their new 5.4 drivers.
when i load my project i a get a lot of : " Sorry can't find Uad 2 hardware "
So i decided to trouble shoot a litle , i deleted my bridged 64 bits Dll from their Folder , and did again the jbridge wizard in order to get new UAD dlls in my 64 bits folder.
But it doesn't work.
I dont have a clue about this thing ... have you got some idea about that ? or have we have to wait for an updated version of jbridge ?
I can't wait to use that fatso

Check your mail.
As I said there, something has changed in the latest driver, it would be best to contact them about this, I don't think I can do anything from my side.

Just wondering if this is normal behavior for anyone else. Opening the window of or manipulating the GUI of a jbridged plugin while audio is running causes audio dropouts. For example in a jbridged instance of Superior Drummer 2.0 moving the mixer back and forth through the channels causes continuous audio dropouts in whatever audio is playing. This behavior does not happen in a regular non Jbridged instance of the plugin. I am running Reaper 32 bit in Windows 7 64bit. Other than that issue this app works perfectly. Great work!

Do you have the "thread safety measures" option enabled?

Enabling it definitely helps. Moving GUI elements will now cause almost no dropouts. They are still there but they are very minimal. However opening the GUI causes a massive dropout every time. I can usually run many plugins, vsti's etc... at very low latency with no dropouts. Opening the same vsti un jbridged is smooth as butter - no dropout. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something I was doing wrong. I can certainly live with a dropout upon opening a jbridged GUI if it is normal for jbridge.

I've seen that with some plugins here too, but with the "thread safety measures" option enabled.
It seems to happen with plugins that need to make some "heavy" stuff when you open its editor, which may be the case.

ok guys, maybe someone can reproduce it and check if it is a faulty system on my side or a general problem:
When I load aprox.4 EWQL PLAY engines in my VSTi slots and fill them with samples ... lets say about 4GB RAM for the library.... my Cubase crashes when I try to open any JBridged Instrument.
I use Vista Ultimate 64
Cubase 5.01 x64 and try to get some old VSTis running, like GARRITAN PERSONAL ORCHESTRA or PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA

Hi,
Thank you!
Your results are VERY interesting! Can you provide some more details about your setup? video card model/driver you're using, audio interface model/driver, etc.TRANTOR wrote:Yep.umd wrote:you mean that PAE stuff?
It seems to work okay. (:I am interested in knowing how it works,

Hi, UMD:
I'm using the trial version of jbridge to see if it fixes a problem I'm having with running Cakewalk Dimension Pro in Cubase 5 64 bit.
So far, jbridge seems to allow me to run Dimension Pro 32 bit in the Cubase 5 64 bit host, which I could not do before. (This alone is nearly worth the license fee...so YAY!)
However, I still cannot complete my ultimate goal of running Dimension Pro 64 bit in Cubase 5 64 bit.
When I load DimensionPro64.64 in the Cubase "instrument rack" I get UAC prompt "Run in Administrator?" I consent to this, then I immediately get a message "auxhost64.exe has stopped working". Here are the "problem details":
As I mentioned above, the 32 bit version of the plug does not have this problem (auxhost.exe does not crash). Do you have any ideas?
By the way, I did "manual option 1" install only for Dimension Pro (both 32 bit and 64 bit) because that's the only plugin that I cannot get to work under Cubase 5 64 bit.
Thanks in advance!

Hi!
Not sure about what it could be. If I understood correctly, you created the files inside the plugin's directory?

Hi again:
I keep the 64 bit and 32 bit DLL's in separate folders. For the time being, the 64 bit folders are not visible to the 32 bit host.
So currently, these files reside in the 64 bit folder:
Thanks!
EDIT: I moved the files all back into the main Dimension Pro "Vstplugins" folder (and adjusted the concatenation of folders via Cubase's "VST 2.0 path" settings), with the same results.
Dimension Pro 32 bit runs seemingly fine in Cubase 5 64
Dimension Pro 64 bit results in a crash of Auxhost64, followed by a message that Dimension Pro64 has crashed.
I do all of my work in Cubase 5 64 bit, so I don't want to go back to Cubase 32 bit. Of course, I "could" possibly continue to use DPRO 32 in Cubase 64 (via jbridge), but I want to get the most for my 64 bit money.
