Like most I am really loving these especially the two drum machines.
Question: Rhytmus Machine - under the Start/Stop button one can see it labeled "KYBD CTRL" but I can't seem to figure out how to start/stop via any MIDI command or CC. Is it something so obvious and under my nose that I am missing it? Is the work around simply starting it without any of the rhythm buttons pressed and then use a MIDI command to engage the desired rhythm(s)?
thanks

I love the drum machine with the hardware-button interface, I had a drum machine exactly like that before.

Thank you so much, Electrostudio, you're pretty damn close to being a genius!
P.S.: Hskovlund, what have you been up to lately?

Well is it is a biased quote the rest of the quote stated :tomg wrote:And what does this mean? Go ahead change the name and ID, pretend like it's your code and don't reference the real coder at all? Because that's what this guy did.Vonbrucken wrote:Basically the license for the open source modules are LGPL, so they should include a reference to the place where the original (source code) can be found.
What he did is not exactly illegal but it is low class and smarmy. There is an accepted way for people to use 3rd party SE modules and give proper credit. Changing the name and ID is not acceptable.
And most importantly :The reason for this is the fact that I want to move to a lesser license (eventually MPL), because I want that the modules are used by external developers without any burden. I do like a reference, but then I found such reference in the licence.txt bundled with the plugins, which is OK for me.
Kind regards,
Christian
So basically you are getting angry while one of the developer encourages the use of his modules that are open source... He does like a reference but he never said that it has to be mandatory ...PS: Feel free to reference this email in the thread. I for myself will not take part of such discussions anymore as they always lead to frustration
So basically he finds that giving him credit would be more gentle ,but that's all, he is not going to make it a crusade, and as he acknowledged it himself there were no EULA.
As for Dave Haupt he stopped coding modules, they are now free, quote from the sites :
In the EULA there is nowhere where it is stated that you have to give him credits :Registration of module packs is no longer required. A new version of DH_ModuleKey is available, which automatically authorizes the packs without requiring the entry of user ID and authorization codes.
And this is when the modules were still sold, I have contacted him about that matter, still waiting for the answer... But at the end you will still be winning that it is is unacceptable but the original creators of these modules , simply don't care that much. You may: 1. Use the Software on a single machine at any one time. Multiple installations on computers you control are permitted, as long as the Software is never running on two or more machines at once. This restriction does not apply to products that you create using the Software as provided for in this agreement. 2. Include the Software, and distribute it without restrictions, in virtual musical instruments and audio effects, provided that the Software becomes an integral part of the instruments or effects, and that it cannot be extracted from the instruments or effects in a form that allows it to be used separately. 3. Make backup copies of the software and manual for archival purposes for your own use only. You may not: 1. Make copies of the user manual or the Software in whole or in part except as expressively provided for in this agreement. 2. Make alterations or modifications to the Software (or any copy) or disassemble or decompile the Software (or any copy), or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Software. 3. Sublicense, lease, lend, rent or grant other rights in all or any portion of the Software (or any copy) to others. 4. Make verbal or media translations of the User's Guide. 5. Make telecommunication data transmissions of the Software.
Don't get me wrong it is better to give proper credits if the things are free, but in the case of buyware modules one have no obligations to do that, unless of course if stated in the EULA.

This is me playing with Micromoon.
It's not a song, so don't expect one, just me having fun with my MIDI keyboard/controller and new favorite Minimoog emulation.

BTW: I don't remember who asked how to start Rhythmicus (I got the name wrong, probably, haven't learnt them yet) from the keyboard: for me it's with any key of the third octave, just check which is yours, but remember that the sequencer must be running for both this and Ocet to play!

So the Developer changed the names of some modules. So did the Developer of the Sonic Projects OP-X Pro VSTi. I checked the modules with Christian's SemExplorer Application out of curiosity. The Developer changed all the EVM, KDL and DH module names to OPX DAT. I never heard anyone bitch at him about it? It's not that big of a deal but the people deserve to know right? At least credit the Authors. I don't know if the Developer did or not? I doubt it since they changed the names to cover them up?
OPX DAT 04 = EVM Pow2(X)
OPX DAT 05 = EVM Pow3(X)
OPX DAT 06 = EVM Sin(x)
OPX DAT 07 = EVM MIDI to KBD
OPX DAT 09 = KDL Bool2GuiFloat
OPX DAT 10 = KDL Float2Bool
OPX DAT 11 = KDL GuiBool2GuiFloat
OPX DAT 12 = KDL GuiBool2Volts
OPX DAT 13 = KDL GuiFloat2Volts

Well actually I have managed to release two tunes in the music café. After 4 years of memebership at KVR. That is not bad IMO!Mac of BIOnighT wrote:P.S.: Hskovlund, what have you been up to lately?
Besides from that it is the usual stuff, you know, entering a flame thread about my fav gear now and then or just plundering KVR for goodies like the present ones

I am already in position to start a "what is your favourite electrostudio synth" -thread. It would be the MoonSonoSx which has my name written all over it. Oooh that "sophran" patch!
PS: I am at work and should be working right now, but how am I to distract myself from these synths? It is impossiple!

is there critism about the modules? I liked the plugs, but I didn't think they were that good, cause of what lets down most is they probably need special written modules. Filters and reverb don't always match well whith the sound for example?
