Thanks NAS!

The reason I was seing a half saw is because the Mod wasn't installed correctly for me! Now I renamed the oscill.pcm file I got for the virus mod to oscill.set and when I load the half saw in the virus mod I now see a sine :) So thanks for clarifying for me..

I guess these are all pretty confusing instructions. Even the official instruction that comes with the Mod says " move the oscill.pcm file into the Wavetables folder, overwriting the existing file." But there is no "existing" file, as the existing file has a .set extension and this new file has a .pcm extension.. It doesn't say to rename oscill.pcm to oscill.set..

Anyway everything appears to be working now.

I do have one final question. When I open the virus mod and pick a wave, I notice that there are 6 user wavs available but the wavetables folder only has 4 in it. Any idea where 5 and 6 are and why these did not need to be deleted as well? Along with 1 through 4, as per the instructions?

Thanks for the help guys.

Yes, "crtl alt del" is for XP.

You can access the Virus waves (pun intended) by using global wavetable load:

Won't give you the presets or arps but if you just want the wave set to create your own patches this works without the need for a separate .dll

Look for a file called oscill.set in the Virus Mod folders and rename to something like Virus.set and drop it in Z3ta's Wavetable folder.

Yes, but I never felt there was a rivalry between Zeta and Rhino, probably because there never was any competition between René and I. Quite the contrary, our discussions were extremely constructive, behind the scenes we exchanged a lot, code, algorithms, ... it's a pity he is not on kvr any more.

they addressed my serial issue. I think their servers were bogged down. I have to say, this is my first experience with the z2ta+, I quite like it.
Even I was offended by what I was going to put here.

Z3ta+ and Rhino are two completely different instruments in my book. Owning both has a been a great pleasure over the years.

Yes it's a pity that René has abandoned Z3TA+ and his RGC customers as well............

Maybe that was required by Cakewalk as a condition of employment.

So pretty much screw all the people who purchased Z3ta+ , Pentagon 1 and Square 1 from RGC and helped build his reputation ?

Anyway no condition of employment is preventing him from fixing the bugs in Z3ta+. Cakewalk is obviously still selling it with 3 year old bugs. Fix it or discontinue it..............pretty simple.

And i'm now on day five of my customer support request, with no support or response from customer support.

Luckily, the automated system has sent me my serial number and a KVR member helped me negotiate the Crystal Maze style sequence of events that allowed me to log into my own account.

Cakewalk, you are a shite company.

I bought this the first time the special was on...
Sounds great but completely useless in Cubase 5 on XP for me at least. Very unstable/unreliable.

How so?

I've had no trouble with it in Reaper + XP and find both the synth and FX version stable, useful and good sounding. Only thing is I haven't used it all that much after getting a handful of other synths, but that's another matter altogether.. ;)
