In another thread I admitted to being a math geek. Now I guess I have to admit to being a physics geek as well. Superstring Theory is absolutely a formal theory. It does make verifiable predictions like supersymmetry which is being worked on right now at CERN. And by the same token, it is falsifiable which is one of the key criteria of a scientific theory. More importantly, the math works. This isn't something a bunch of physicists came up with on a drunken bender. This was developed over years of work and it is derived from the math we know describes how the universe works. Math is the language of physics, and it is the math which leads us to superstring theory.Gonga wrote: It's not even close to a formal theory since it cannot make verifiable predictions - it's an hypothesis at best, and it appears to fail the principle of parsimony. Trying to come up with a Unified Field theory or unify relativity with quantum mechanics doesn't provide us with theories so much as metaphysical explanations so far.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about this - I'm just a lowly geologist![]()
As far as parsimony, what could be simpler than string theory? It states that all subatomic particles are an expression of vibrating strings. There, it can be stated in one short sentence. How could it be any simpler than that?
This space has been unintentionally left blank.

Lucky for you that can be changed. I kind of like this one, though I like the default red myself:Aiyn wrote:I dont like DIVA's red gui to be honest... (there I said it)

I just posted this demo of my upcoming Diva bank in another thread:Diva Bank Demo Snippet (100% Diva again).
I love the drums Diva is capable of
I just wanted to show that Diva can also do other things than vintage emulations
Cheers

Well, I ended up ordering afterall. Urs was very helpful. However, I fear I have possibly made a horrible mistake. Is this not a 64-bit plug? I thought for sure it was? Whenever I try to open Cubase Elements it will only see the plug in 32 bit mode. What do I need to do to get it to be recognized in 64 bit mode? I am on a mac btw. If it is not available for mac in 64 bit mode yet, when is that planned? I haven't registered it yet and may consider going for a refund.
Here it says it is 64 bit for Mac. Is this wrong? Help!

I'm just wondering if there is some benefit vst vs au on Mac? I'm on of so it is not really my issue, but still I'm curious.

Maybe you have to install it twice... AFAIK, the installer asks (at least on Windows, VST) what version you want to instal... and it's 32bit by default.donato wrote:Well, I ended up ordering afterall. Urs was very helpful. Benefits like actually working inside Cubase, that only supports their own Vst format?braj wrote:I'm just wondering if there is some benefit vst vs au on Mac? I'm on of so it is not really my issue, but still I'm curious.

Most AUs are really just VSTs in a wrapper. Basically just VSTs within another crap layer. I have no idea about U-He plugins though. They are "real" AUs if i'm not mistaken. Don't quote me on that though.
