And...there will be people wanting to sell it second hand in the future as well.
:tu:

The time frame for the introductory price is surprisingly short so that people rush in to this....

But there's plenty of other tools that we can make music with while they iron out the bugs....

Still - the early adopters are always good beta testers for any company to have onboard....

And then comes the buyer's remorse
No auto tune...

BTW since somebody asked about the script capabilities: here's the documentation for it:

Cheers,

Is it easy -- maybe that's not the right word... is it a pretty straightforward method to create your own patches/libraries in Falcon, package them up and provide them for download/sale? In a way similar to Kontakt I mean, where you can provide graphics and the like to create a unified product so to speak.

It looks like it's certainly possible, but I'm new to the UVI world so I'm curious. Thanks. :D
Sure, you can do that. Everything you do can be contained in a single folder, so it's a simple installation for the end user.
As in MachFIve a library contains of a folder with subfolders:

Programs
Samples (with subfolders)
Images (for scripted interfaces)

the scripts don't have to be included as they are embedded in the patches (if there are any scripts involved).

The sample paths are relative so there won't be missing sample-messages once installed on any internal or external drive.
Thanks to both of you for the quick replies. :tu:

Well, in the sum of it's parts there is nothing like Alchemy 1 and certainly nothing like Alchemy 2.
In that case I will just continue waiting for
Absynth 6
Kontakt 6
Massive 2
Iris 3
Padshop Pro 2

Well that is if I can get Falcon for $195 at JRR plus the $100 library coupon.
Yea that will work for me.
BTW, Iris 3 has a granular possibilities ?
Honestly, i wanted to know for a long time (just a hands did not reach to try fresh demo, once I tried it seems the first version, but granular there was nothing found, perhaps missed something).
Iris 3? Are you joking?? We can be happy if they don't bury Iris 2 next week.
Oh, now I understand that about Iris v3 It was theoretically.
So, Iris 2 have granular possibilities or not ?

No, Iris never had granular capabilities, it has a time-preserving mode using the Radius RT algo, but you can't speed up or slow down things, just preserve the timing of a given sample. Although this is of course based on granular technology Iris is not all a granulator, as you can't created streams with independent grains.

And my comment about Iris 3 was based on my experience while troubleshooting Iris 2 bugs with a product manager from iZotope for months, he suddenly disappeared and left us with a half baken software instrument.

Is this relates to Mach5 v3 only?

Or does it already contains info of the improved fx, synth engine, etc. parameters of the new Falcon?

Can u simply drag and drop samples and Mangle them with the Granular options?

Wow!!

SUPPORTED FILE FORMATS
Soundbanks (.ufs), AIFF, FLAC, MP3, MP4 (with QuickTime installed on Windows for MP3/MP4), REX1, REX2, SDII (on Mac), WAV, WAV64, SFZ, SND, CAF

Looks like a good escape for SFZ format.
Can anybody tell how good the sfz import works?

So, just to clarify one more time:

Is it true that all .M5p files can be opened by Falcon? .m5m?

Reason I ask is, if I were to hold off on upgrading and continue to work in MF3, would my work be compatible later with Falcon?

Post

YES.

Post

Thanks, that helps.

Yep.

@Sampleconstruct:

The granular engine with multiple grain streams is now at the same level as Padshop & Halion?
Or you may say it’s even more powerful & good sounding?

I might jump on the bandwagon for this one!
