Thank you so much!

i can confirm tolstoevsky's report, collapsing or expanding one of the variation also fixes this

as you see the arpeggio generator was added in the latest update ... Feel free to comment and criticize.
Thanks,

Having lots of fun playing with the arpeggiator generator. Attila provided a bunch of interesting shapes to work with. With all of the different permutations of note length and rhythm combinations available to tweak, I can create some really complex arpeggio lines quite quickly.

Configure a more complex rhythm generator (e.g. polyrhythm) and/or add some phrase variations and things can get really wild.

While complex chords can sound harsh and dissonant when all of the notes are sounded simultaneously, they sound much less objectionable when you arpeggiate the chord with no overlapping notes. The apprehension to create complex chord progressions has been lifted!

Thank you so much Attila for implementing this feature so quickly. :tu:

@ tonedef71
this was a great suggestion !

That is what I call customer driven development ;)
The best is I have to do nothing, just sit back, and read this forum

Thanks yellukhan for the screenshot, I have seen this issue once but I thought I had fixed it. There is an ongoing redesign of the UI layout engine which you should not realize but very shortly very flexible layouts will be possible.
I added experimental UI scaling for those who prefer using a bigger font size. It looks good, although a few glitches still have to be fixed.

Thanks!
Attila

For a wonder, Attila, in this special case your semi-ironic comment quoted above is true and fair view of recent big improvements inside RC: for me, it looks that your program in its current mature state needs "user/customer insights" more than ever before 8)
It's already supersolid multi-purpose combiner (hats off to you 100 times :tu:), but also it's very complex and "hermetic" for newcomers, so latest addition of "habitual" (for usual bedroom musicmakers  ) arpeggiator module is very important move in proper direction.

i love arpeggiator but one small suggestion, to add the ability to have a chord appear in the arp at user set rhythmic intervals.

thanks again

Hi dear tolstoevsky,

welcome back, and thank you for your comments. Yes, I must admit I always needed user insights. While I have a clear vision where this program should head to, there are features that I have not thought of, or did not find that important. It is very selfish not to listen to your customers, especially when they are much more knowledgeable at music composition and music theory than you are...

Thanks,
Attila

Very good idea! That means two new sliders are needed (chord interval and offset).
Thanks nexussynth!

Can chord be two or more notes?

Post

Musical Gym wrote:Can chord be two or more notes?
Can you clarify this question? Which chord do you mean?

Post

Any 2 note chord.

Post

A chord can have any number of notes. You can add a 1-note chord (root note only) to the chord library if you wish. If your question was about the Arpeggiator, yes, it can use 2 note chords.
E.g. you can define a chord consisting of root and root+octave, and you can arpeggiate that.
