Not really paying much attention. Just got a great U-He payoff for last year's Repro investment, so I'm all good. Besides, I've been having much more fun poking holes in my Steam wish-list (Orange Box for under 2 eurosChapelle wrote:The craziest time of the year has started. How is everyone doing?
I had quite a few temptations already, but haven't bought a thing, yet.

Yeah, the first time I played Civ I, I started around 6:30 PM, the news was on tv. Next thing I knew, the sun was coming up. I've wasted so many hours on the various iterations of CIV. CURSE YOU, SID MEIER!
I received a Christmas present a bit early, just so we could be sure I wasn't sending it back.
A mountain dulcimer. Interesting.
Last of the year. It won't be long before I can make another hard pledge, and feck it up!!

Yeah! I think it's because I tend to play fps games, which I find can get a little overwhelming. I'm much more likely to play shorter, more frequent, bouts.shroom81 wrote:Really ?el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: Actually, it's been many years since I gamed like that. Kinda got caught a bit off-guard today. MacProVideo are doing a yearly pass for $75, and I must say I am so tempted.

I had a pass last year. Hardly used it, and have all the Logic tuts I could possibly ever need. So, I pass on the pass. So far, no bank acc't casualty due to Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Been actually quite thrifty. I've got most of my wife's presents in already, and the rest is all downhill.
December 2nd is my 1 year anniversary for no 'new guitar day.' First time in 10 years.

I've never sprung for it before, but figured at today's price (Never seen it this low), I could probably squeeze enough out of it to make it pay. Probably for the best, as I likely wouldn't have got around to it till at least the new year.Bombadil wrote:They offered to me for $72. Glad to hear that you have managed to pocket some cash, this year. I guess it remains to be seen whether you, or the rest of us, double down next year by way of compensation

Of all things, I've been gassing for a lap steel guitar. My wife thinks I want to do Hawaiian music, but I am thinking more along the lines of David Gilmour. Still. Not going to do it. At least, not until I learn to play my dulcimer.
