Far-be-it from me to encourage others to dive headlong into the euro-pit of 'just-one-more-thing', but:
Seriously cool module!![]()
Here's another vid where he breaks it down and how the modulation works etc.
I think it starts shipping around mid April. (Not that I'm attempting any corruption here... BUT

Just put a downpayment on this one, will probably be shipped early May.

Was a hard choice actually. Originally went in looking to buy a Wasp and a K2, or maybe a K2 and Cat, or even a Cat + Wasp + K2, possibly even a MonoPoly instead. But come on...who can resist the Dr Who factor? And they didn't have any of them in stock, so I figured if I'm going to have to wait, I might as well wait for a really good one. I nearly stumped up an extra $200 for a blue version, but bought a 2-tier keyboard stand instead. Sometimes I wish I could just make my mind up.

And of course the next big one is...should I buy a K2/Wasp/Cat, or a Monopoly. I seriously can't decide between those. I know I'll end up buying all of them at some point, but have to pace myself. I always hankered after a MonoPoly and it's a proper keyboard too, but having seen some of the demos of the Cat (some pretty good sync sounds on it) and that nasty raspy filter on the Wasp....I just dunno.
I can feel a Behringer binge coming on. They're just so damn cheap, I'll prolly end up buying a 101 (not sure what colour, but something eye-watering) - same with the 303. I haven't bought synths for many years, but now getting back into it in a big way, and at that stage of life where I can afford it, and the missus is quite happy to get rid of me down the basement in the studio. Have they released the 909 yet?

That's cool, I canceled my pre-order tho it's in stock at sweetwater. I want to wait and see how it goes
with the Korg before I commit the cash. I have also been a little less interested since all the waiting happened I guess

Yeah - from what I've seen and heard, the Korg Odyssey seems to be pretty damn good, so it follows their 2600 will be too. But price-wise...not sure it's worth SO much more. I couldn't rationalise several thousand, whereas the Behringer - $995. It was a no-brainer for me. I'm no purist, and having never owned a real one - I suspect I'll still be be overjoyed with an inferior Behringer clone. If my R2D2 noises sound a little camp compared to the Korg R2D2 noises...so be it. Incidentally - I saw a vid showing the 2600 making Dalek ringmod FX - even the Behringer one made some pretty scary Dalek shit...
