Yay! I voted. I think I know now why I was d/q @ OSC159. I didn't vote for all the entrants. I only just realized today I had to do that. Silly me.
Anyway, this was a tough challenge. It was tough because I'm not sure what merits to base it on. If the idea was to deliver a track that sounded like it came straight out of Super Mario Bros c. 1988, a lot of tracks succeeded. If we were so supposed to compose something that sounded contemporary, well OPNplug was not a good idea.

If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.

Except for it being miserably buggy for me I prefer the sound of ADL over Surge. Now that I have listened plenty to the entries.

Voted. Didn't comment when 4 people had already said what I was thinking. Thank you to those few who commented on mine. I didn't make it easy to think up much to say I guess... I really seem to have lost interest in busy sounding music. Lots of running around to no avail.

Hey, I'm late with voting due to some health issues, I hope to complete votes tomorrow within day 15.
So far I heard beautiful tracks.

I'm impressed with the possibilities of these synths. I've seen that the ADL is the simulation of the Yamaha FM chip that was shipped with the Sound Blasters. I was using a Sound Blaster PRO for several years in the 90s and never did anything with that chip I always thought that it was only to made low quality sounds for some videogames but now I' ve seen that I was wrong.
(or maybe there is a nostalgic element on this new perception)

from the wikipedia OPL page:
The YMF262's FM synthesis mode is configurable in different ways:
- Its basic mode provides 18 two-operator FM channels.
- One setting, common to the OPL line, converts 3 of the FM channels into a 5-channel percussion set.
Another setting, introduced with this chip, causes 12 of the channels to be paired up into six four-operator channels. This trades in polyphony for more complex sound formation.
The two settings can be used separately or in conjunction, resulting in four total modes:
- 18 2-operator channels
- 15 2-operator channels + 5 drum channels (drum setting on)
- 6 2-operator channels + 6 4-operator channels (4-op setting on)
- 3 2-operator channels + 6 4-operator channels + 5 drum channels (both settings on)
