I really like the Model 82 and was pretty excited when I saw it released. I can't vouch for how close it is to original as I never had the hardware synth, it sounds pretty close to what I expected though, from listening to recorded music, and sounds great anyway

typing into youtube
"softube model 82 vs roland cloud sh 101" does not give me any results that are actually roland cloud. it gives me results with the actual 1982 hardware sh 101. What?
I specifically typed roland cloud. Is youtube retarded?
Anyway, do anyone please have a comparison video between the cloud sh101 and model 82 before i start ripping my hair out at the idiotic coders of youtube

You could sign up for a free trial with Roland Cloud and demo all their synths and demo the Softube Model 82.

The reason will probably be that there are no results for a comparison between Sofutube Model 82 and the Roland Cloud SH-101, while there are multiple results for Softube Model 82 vs. SH-101.astralprojection wrote: Thu Nov 17, 2022 11:31 am typing into youtube

Anyone else gets a different sound, when opening an ableton live set before last update of model 82?
On Ableton beta the sound keeps the same but on ableton 11.2.6 if you open Model 82 and select a preset and save the set, after opening there is a different sound.
If i load only a track from a set, the original sound keeps the same, so something strange with Ableton. It's only with VST3 - on VST2 i can't reproduce this mess

Tdlr:
"I'm sorry to hear about your issues. There seems to be a bug in the latest version of Ableton (11.2.6)
This is an issue that we are looking into and I just wanted to confirm that I have added your information to our bug-tracking software.
In the meantime, a workaround is to use VST2 or revert back to 11.1.6.
Thanks a lot for your patience and support!"
It’s an issue in three of the Softube instruments I tried (Monoment, 72 and 84).

I tried to recreate SH-101 sounds with Diva. I got really close, BUT it is very hard to find the sweet spot in Diva, whereas with the SH it is EASY to find sweet spots. So I was able to do it, but not worth the effort. Strobe2 is a better alternative than Diva imo for SH sounds. You can also sample the SH if your just play without automating knobs.mi-os wrote: Sat Jun 18, 2022 11:30 am I wonder if i could approximate the SH-101 sound with synths i already have and aren't a dedicated emulation. How about DIVA, Zebra, Reaktor, Massive X or even Model 84? Has anyone tried that route?
I'm just looking for excuses not to buy every single emulation released.
