since i had to upload boksters oldies, as already in another thread, i took the chance to upload a couple more of free disappeared gems from the past as well.

PS definitely, i still think that opening an abandonware vst/vsti museum download page would be DOPE, IMO :)..i might even consider that

PS #2 i tried to get hold of the authors of those vstis everyfrigginwhere to let them know about that, but, really, the only traces of them i found are back from 2003-04..hope they dont mind as they were free and this is intended as an homage to their creations

Peace out
So on reflection u.dreadd, how would you say things have worked out as we approach page 200 fine sir?

jimi you have been responsible for countless hours and more likely days of useful linkage to the good, the bad ass and plain ugly brutes over the many pages for us all, any thoughts/comments you would like to share diamond geezer?

And to everyone/anyone else whom has chipped in somewhere along the lines or just found some really useful audio software which would not of been possible with ease without this thread any thoughts/comments you would like to share?

My thoughts: f**king hell! i never even realized their was so much under the radar work/abandoned projects and many have proved to be gems and most important i think is this - 200 pages (nearly), the KVR database, Gersic's index, don't crack, burnie's list...and many, many more - why on earth are people even bothering to crack software and worse still the fools which use the stuff when this wealth of audio software is available? i just dont get it

Anyway cheers everyone, take care and best regards

Nekro/Dean :D

hehehehehhehe i wouldnt have thought about creating a sort of subforum, but im happy as hell that its happened as i really like the old bits....some of them i have bare memory recalls about, since i started using for the first time VST plugins.. i think, a couple of A0 plugins and the ancient guiless VB ones: at the time i had a pentium 1 with an amaaaaaazing 64 megas RAM memory (and no internet!! gosh! :P) and i barely was using audio inside-the-box (firstly because i couldnt get much more than a couple of audio tracks without audio stuttering,as i was using them mostly for stuff that was to heavy to handle for the small RAM amount of my 2 Akais, secondarily since i really was relying for everything on Akais mostly)
Plus ive encountered many more friendly people along the way since page 1, and thats definitely a bonus im always happy to deal with ;)
im happy to have contributed and hope this thread goes to page 1000 around 2012
Peace out to everyone

BTW did webarchive.org get hacked since 10 days or so? i had to start using a secondary address to direct the browser onto that..
webarchive.org gives a "oooooops" white page and when i tried to enter a more definite URL with that domain name it redirected to some commercial/spammer site...
right now im using the archive.org URL to browse the webarchive, for the records..

Did not know that Jobro :)

dreadd IIRC my first PC was nasty win95 job (hand me down) and came with something like music maker or what looked similar and it was used for recording prank calls with a goose neck feedback prone distortophone  (fond memories)

*I am pretty unclued up about the whole VST/VSTi world to be honest guys, not that i have not been involved with audio for a while mind just not the internet. Sounds strange but i just did not get the internet at home until earlier this year at the age of 25! i certainly am glad that i did though*

Take care

Dean ;)

dreadd i have that great make nearly any sample format work for whatever format you want application 'Extranslator ExSC Extreme Sample Converter 3.x'. So if/when you do the repack and you put it up mate i would be happy to convert it all to .Wav format and re-repack & upload (uploading at my good friends house still coz of the bloody interweb browser crap that is preventing me from uploading jack at the moment! issues). anyways unless you have something which you can convert the gig format to wav or what not friend just let me know man ;)

Regards and nice finds :)
