It doesn't get much simpler then this:

I haven't conneted my BCF2000 at the moment. I simply can't find a place for it.

Does anybody know a good stand for it?
I thought I might buy some kind of high laptop stand which I would place on the right side of the desk.

Cheers
Dennis

You might want to check out places like Staples. If there is someplace like that near you...or their website...http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_s ... ollections

...or Office Max http://about.officemax.com/html/officem ... erve.shtml

... Office Depot

I love it a chair and a coffee table for part of the desk, a rat shack mixer which I can't imagine being of use for much, Fred Flinstones computer monitor, a boombox for audio monitors...then a Les Paul, Fender Strat, and a Soldano amp :tu:

I know there is a Squier bass and a Fender acoustic as well, judging by you set up I'm assuming the bass is out of necessity and the guitars and amp (plus pedals) being where you put your money at because that's where it is all at (I'm the same way)...what confuses me is the Fender acoustic guitar. No judgement here at all and no offense intended, is that because you really like the acoustic or it's the acoustic you have?

I have sold a lot of guitars, it's rare that I have come across many Fender acoustics I like (there have been a few though). They make top notch electrics but I just don't care for the acoustics at all.

Love your studio though :tu:
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

You are pretty much spot on. My friend gave me that rat shack mixer, and its too noisey/hissy to use. I thought I could use it so I wouldn't have to plug in my headphones between the two audio interfaces I have, so I left it in the pic as a joke. Although I use those Altec Lansing (with sub) computer speakers on top of the boombox speakers when I actually use speakers to check mixes. The boombox speakers are there basically to raise the Altecs to ear level, which actually arent that bad considering what they are. I basically use headphones to mix on  , but I check my mix on lots of speakers/cars and reference commercial tracks along side them to try and get close. Once I have some extra money to get a small flat screen, I'll save up for some decent monitors once I have more room on the desk. Ice/roller hockey and hockey equipment is where all my extra spending money goes ATM, and I would go crazy if I couldn't play hockey year round with my friends/team I have been on for years.

Yep Squire 4 string P-Bass Special that was hardly used and basically mint, I bought for $100 (normally $250 retail) from a friend who decided he didn't want to play bass/music any more.

Yeah, I hate that Fender DG-3 acoustic (gathers dust), it's so hard to play. Decent resonant tone though in the lower register, forget trying to go past the 12th fret. It was a Christmas present that came in one of those value/starter packs, but I was happy to get it. My friend's dad did have a higher end Fender acoustic that had awesome action on it, so I asked "Santa" for a Fender acoustic one year hoping to get something like my friends Fender. It's a "strummers chord" guitar, and only used when I feel like adding an acoustic part in a track now, which is hardly ever. But yep, it's the only acoustic I have, and don't see myself investing in another any time soon.

That Squire strat was my first guitar and I am not parting with that. It gathered some dust when I got the LP, but they both get equal playing time now that I decided putting light gauge strings on the strat, and heavy gauge strings on the LP for some contrast, and plus I love the neck and action on the Squire. The electronics in it are a little fiddly sometimes though.

Got to have the cat too, Lucy (In The Sky...) named after the Beatles' song. She has earned her keep lately, catching/killing some mice that were getting in our house, that we were unaware of. Quite the surprise in the morning when you wake up half asleep to see a dead mouse (or is it deadmau5 :hihi:) proudly displayed in front of her food bowl, so she knew we would see it. If you ever have a rodent problem get a black Bombay cat. She is the most intelligent cat I have ever had. They call that breed the dog of the cat world.

Just got a Doepfer Dark Time to go with my Dark Energy ... it's nice to get away from using the computer. I've been playing it through a guitar amp.

That carpet must help to you keep on the right track. (insert drum fill)

In fact, out of curiosity and to stay on topic, what kind of room you have for recording drums?

And congrats on the Doepfer, must be a joy!

haha ... the carpet gets a comment every time I post a pic. The room was a kid's bedroom before I moved in.

I don't have one at the moment. I've moved house since I recorded any full drum kits. I have recorded in my front room, on the landing and spare bedroom in the past, as well as some location stuff. For the Tape Breaks Vol.1 sample pack I got to use a room in an abandoned funfair.

Thanks, I'm loving it. :)
