Native in name only lmao. They were one of the longest holdouts for finishing this transition too, go figure.

Every single piece of software on my Mac would be a universal binary at this point only if iZotope & Plug-In Alliance would hurry up and update their installation managers to be native too.

Credit where credit is due here. Audio Ease, PSP, VSL, Air, Nomad Factory, AudioFinder, Sononym, and Metasynth among others are mostly not transitioned, if at all.

Will Air even upgrade their old plugins ? Seems like they rebranded them for MPC.
I like PSP but they are doing this too for some.

I like PSP but they are partly doing it too.

Air will never update their old plugins . do not buy Air plugins. support does not exist and never responds. they don't care about the users. I invested a lot of money in them and I can say that I wasted money. learn from my mistakes . And at the end, the new plugins they put out are heavy shit

+1 for that. I don’t think any of those plug-ins have been updated in 5+ years.

Hve to agree with this, I didn't spend much money on their plug ins, but it sucks that Loom , Hybrid3, Transfuser etc. are all just gone. At least with Nomad Factory the main developer died, that's their more than legit excuse. WIth Air it's just lack of support for their plug ins forever.

For me, especially Velvet. Loved that one.
On the other hand, it seems AIR still make instruments for the Akai keyboard.

Post

I still have hope for Air, they just had some updates again.
They state here that all of their plugins are in 'testing' and some of those are actually native now.

Of course the standard instruments for Pro Tools are native, Vacuum, Xpand, DB-33, etc. And half of their effects plugins.
Sure, t's still a bit vague. I just hope Loom 2 will become native

Post

looking also forward for loom 2. The only plug I have from Air.

Post

Yeah Loom 2 is really unique and awesome. I truly hope they will update that one!

I would also love to see Xpand and Hybrid 3 get updated as I find them excellent for doing cheesy 90s synth sounds.

On a positive note, Metasynth CTX just went native. I'm actually surprised by this one.

Yeh... so Native Acess (3.2.0) used to run and then during the app loading process asked me to install Rosetta.

Version 3.3.0 asks to install Rosetta before it will even open

That's because the installer isn't native, the application itself is.

There’s no installer? Opening the package just prompts you to drag the application into the applications folder.

Did you download the right version?

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/s ... -access-2/

There are two versions of Native Access 2; one for Intel Macs and one for Apple silicon Macs. Is it still prompting you to install Rosetta 2 if you download the Apple silicon version from the site above?
