THERE ALREADY IS ONE THAT WORKS PERFECTLY FINE
Now you know how the Massive X thread feels like. :hihi:

The thing is absolutely unusable, man. Doesn't even have a proper preset browser.

Amazing that people can actually use 10 year old plugins, which all won't come with preset browsers with categories etc. I really doubt that people could make music back then. Wait...

The problem with X that you aren't supposed to make your new goods and services worse than previous ones.
Original Massive was rewritten after prototyping, and had proper MIDI control, mousewheel support and browser.
For X all these things are gone; feels like it's a standalone Reaktor ensemble because of that changes.
I don't mind it being a Reaktor(ish) (actually I like it), but I don't like the gone stuff.

Meanwhile Dune's browser is slow and steady. It got better in 1->2 and didn't get worse in 3.
Weapons of choice (subject to change):
Godin Redline, Kuassa, Fuse Audio, Audiority, Roland A-500pro, Dune, Dagger, TAL, Reaper for Rock & Synthwave pleasures; Viper and FL Studio for guilty EDM pleasures

I get that. I just don't get why people are going on and on and on about it, and act like it was unusable because of that.

But then, in the "Why you left Studio One?" thread, people act similarly.

Sometimes I really feel weird when I, and thousands of others are perfectly able to use all that unusable software. ;) (Although I really should feel pity for the people hanging on to such details, preventing them to use the tools for what they are.)

It’s the “on and on” part that bugs me. At this point Synapse knows its a request. They’re either going to do something about it or not. At this point hope for the best and keep making music with it as it is. Still one of the best sounding VIs IMHO. Love this thing.

i can look at any of my synth plugins and find things i'd like to see done differently; meanwhile, i focus on making music; dealing with what is in front of me right now, rather than stressing about how it could be different. if it gets better, great. if not, that's not gonna stop me from using what sounds good, and/or is fun to work with...

Yep. Same with my DAW(s). Of course they don't have some things that other DAWs have. I think it's a rather enriching skill to be able to look past that, and maybe even find workarounds which work fine for you.

If you look back in software's or hardware's past, it rather fueled people's creativity, to work around such limtations.

I look forward to never hearing fisherking or chk071 complain about a product :)

if you removed all the people who complain on this forum (whining, 'poor me' complaints, 'why can't it be the way i want it' rants), there would be no one here (except maybe the mods). i'd be gone too. i complain sometimes. am sure you know how that is.

but no, not this time. so why reference my complaining if i'm not complaining? sounds like a... complaint, to me... 8)

You're absolutely right, I did that a lot in the past. It's just that I don't think I ever made it my life's work, like people do in the MX thread, for example... really reads for me as if those guys think the synth is absolutely unusable. And, it rather appears to me that they have an agenda against NI, than criticizing the synth for the things they've noticed which didn't work for them (just take a look at all the posts stating stuff like "NI lost it" and such bla).

And, frankly, I think it's also safe to say that I never cried around all day long like that. ;)

I haven't read all the pages, but the last two posts I saw was you and chk071 commenting (complaining?) about people complaining and not just using the tools to make music.

Well, I think it's also important to point out what's going on here sometimes, otherwise moderators will feel like people are totally comfortable with the rants, and never get annoyed by them, if it's too severe (it's not about the rants anyway. It's never about them. It's about influencing other people, and excercise power over others).

I got called out in this thread several times for criticizing Dune, and stopped criticizing it, because, obviously, I get on people's nerves with it. Fair enough. I know how it feels.

I think many if not most if not all of us find some 'issues' anywhere from: insignificant, trivial, non issue, problematic, bothersome, dealbreaker etc.

I too have found issues that I consider insignificant odd that people are making a huge deal of it....

But the truth is it may actually be for them.

I am just saying we all should be cognizant of that, me included.
