excuse me but I would like to request that SSL's hateful comments be deleted by a mod....this is a sad pathetic thing...too many have worked too hard...if SSL wants to start a thread about this let him take to hpc...but please this is a slap in the face of every honorable person working on this...I implore a mod to delete the comments.

If I know one thing it is this: I will never be a famous musician. To be honest I don’t think I ever really wanted that, I just never found the wherewithal to deliver the ball breaking hard work, the hours of labour and the personal compromises that the people who do get famous, get to go through. I just love music, weird music, world music, f**k the technology I like noise.
Not even in my wildest dreams do I believe that contributing a track to this CD is going to raise my profile one iota. Nobody outside of a handful of greying old scrotes even knows who I am. I did this because New Orleans is the home of musicians and I felt for the poor bastards I saw on my television rotting and festering in the swampland of neglect that flowed across that city. I gave with my credit cards as I always do, when these things come, but the Katrina CD, that’s something personal, that’s something from me, something I stopped and went out of my way to do as a selfless act that might just do some good. Something I did as a musician for a city that gave so much music.
I think the guys who have laboured in the making of this thing are awesome and mightily worthy of respect. It’s the trying that counts, not the smallness of complaint. And I have no doubt this CD will be finished, and I hope that some people in New Orleans get to hear it and feel some small comfort that a bunch of disparate tom fool idealist musicians did something, even the smallest of things, that might bring some light back into this sad and painful world.

As a slight clarification, this isn't 'trying', this is 'doing'.

I think this project is magnificent ! You donate and receive 2 cd´s (not with top-10 music, I´m sure nobody over here aims that either; we don´t have the right tits and ass, and the one that has the tits, has too much hair on his face). Every now and then you can win a software pack, wich is worth more than the cd´s. And as long as this project and thread continues, at least some people stay conscious of what occured in New-Orleans. Once again : GREAT JOB !
BTW, to whom it concerns : "Shut up and play yer guitar some more !"
Cheers, kuff, kuff (flu !)

Indeed the whole gulf region is still much in shambles. All my friends from there are displaced in different parts of the country.
And the hurricanes keep coming!
