It's a shame but he sure left his mark. Not many people manage to make that much difference to the world.

Just heard the news.
So sad. I was watching him the other day on DVD. A very spiritual man.

I'm so sad for the loss. His life touched so many other lives. He was always humble, yet the ripples this man made will go on forever. Thanks Bob!

Amen. Couldn't have put it better myself.Owen, Wales, UK wrote: A modern day Stradivarius. One of the twentieth century's most influential men right up there with the likes of Leo Fender and Les Paul. Although he himself is gone, his legacy to the music world is immeasurable and will continue well into the future. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
Really, how interesting. I think you've missed point there mate...Michael, Calif, USA wrote:I remember these early synthesisers and how "futuristic" they were! Now, when I hear those old recordings I think how primitive and quaint they are. But now entire TV and movie scores are composed and played on synthesisers without the expense of an orchestra. I guess that's progress, but I prefer a "live" performance on non-electronic instruments.

Analogue or digital – which is better? There's only one way to find out... FI-I-IGHT!!!

suffice it to say that Michael from California uses a quill pen instead of a ballpoint...and he rides a horse instead of a Hyundai...Danny Darko wrote:Really, how interesting. We were lucky to have had Bob amongst us at all. He'll be sorely missed and his influence is immeasurable. I do regret never having met him.

He has just gone to another level of life.
He will be missed on this side though.
Long live his genius.
