It sadly reminds me of how all the major record lables goobled up most of the independents in the last 10-15 years and look what that's done to popular music culture .

The "Indie" scene might be fading, but there is a phenomenal amount of interesting, creative music being made that is very accessible, including in our own KVR community. There will also be great affordable tools to make it with as long as we support the smaller, but really high quality developers like Jorgen or HG Fortune to name but two. As long as we do not get attached to a particular brand name but look to support the good people in our community we will all be just fine.
