I love that little bald Irish Girl, Sinead O"connor, with her pretty eyes and sexy voice, and that bitch is batshit crazy. Still love her. I am happy whe I hear that an artist I love is a good person (Peter Gabriel) and artsit I hate does something shitty (John Mellencamp, Aerosmith....) but for the most part, I like what people do musically, I like what they do (The Who)
even if a memeber might be into kiddy porn(Pete Townsend). Seperate the art from the artist.

Ahh..excellent..I get chastised for immaturity in a thread where someone wants to discuss how musicians have sex with barnyard animals..

How does my shit taste?
Maybe it's just that I expect people like you to rise above the dross ........ sorry if I seem dissapointed. :( ......
(I shouldn't have to lower my expectations of some people here; you being one of them inparticular ...how's that for a backhanded compliment  )

Jessica Rylan whom I saw perform last night at one point stopped her act and went outside to sing as the quarelling in the back interfered with her singing. While outside she did say she was a spoilt american brat.

I must say though it did the performance a lot of good as after that there seemed to be coming fire out of her own built synthy and the gig was a high 8)

Well, since people didn't quite follow what I was saying with other examples, I figured a more extreme situation might make it more clear. Immaturity had nothing to do with it--try coming up with an example.

Oh, and yes, that was the exact picture I was looking for. :hihi:

Cultists might be offended that I put homosexuality in the same catagory as them as well as those with addiction and so forth. It wasn't meant to be demeaning. It was more a matter of fact that as a whole, the majority of people on earth aren't homosexuals, cultists, addicts, commit suicide, or a combination thereof.

And I find it rather appalling that people get appalled when I make note of the fact that homosexuality is a trait not shared by a majority of the world populus, but don't seem to care that others use the term "gay" to insult other people. :nutter:

Edit: For clarification, I am not familiar with any musicians that are actually into beastiality. I just thought it would be a far more atypical example than other ones I had given.

Aaargh, what the hell is your point ? "The majority of the world populus" ? What is that supposed to mean ?
You seem to be measuring "artists" against some very vague (and very ignorant) notion of "normality"

Having green eyes is also a trait not shared by the majority of the world populus. Being an American is also a trait not shared by the majority of the world populus. Being an artist is also a trait not shared by the majority of the world populus. :nutter:

I like Bjork for attacking the reporter that got too intrusive with Bjork's daughter while they were on tour...down to the ground and a series of biff's to the head.

This is the point I was trying to make as well, but I can never get the words to come out right. That must make me abnormal.

I have green eyes, I'm an artist, and I'm an American. I'm also left-handed. Better haul me out back and shoot me.

*sigh*

I know. I thought by saying "majority of the world populus", people wouldn't be so hostile (apparently I was wrong). Being of a minority group usually means a certain amount of misunderstanding from the greater whole. Normality, while not a word I used, is what the majority says. Not good, not bad; just is. Thus it is not an ignorant view, it is simply the standard, and that standard can be different given a persons' surroundings. Therefore, while normal cannot truely exist, there are still certain things that could be referred to as ordinary. I guess that was a better word then. I'm not holding artists to be some higher entities or some ridiculous shit like that. People are people regardless of how you cut it. It doesn't mean that there aren't similarities and sometimes opposites amongst one another.

So what I wanted to know was whether or not other people have had similar experiences and if so, with who and how so? I've been trying to be as non-offensive as possible, I've been trying to clarify as much as possible. I didn't come to start shit, nor do I want to get into it. All I wanted to know, was if people have listened to a song or group and, after hearing that song, later found something out that happened to be unusual [to them] that changed how they thenafter interpreted the song. If they have, I was hoping they could share who that group was and what it was that changed their personal interpretation of it, and why. Is that really so offensive?

To those that have shared antecdotes about musicians they admire, thank you. So far I've found many of them to be quite interesting and things I hadn't known before.

I tend to meet redicule with redicule. This has been a consistent behavior of mine since I came here 2 and a half years ago, so I'm not sure why you're surprised.

When you stick your head up someone else's ass, all you're gonna do is see a bunch of shit, so why bother looking?

In all fairness and speaking as a friend Don....that's pure crap, I have heard you say that before...what right do you have to judge whether a thread is worthy of K-v-R? Seems to me if the thread doesn't appeal to you perhaps you should show others respect as not all of your threads appeal to all of us...but we dont get insulting about it, we don't just pipe in for the sake of making inflammatory posts...but you did just that, your posts had no purpose but that...what happened to "I'll give you the same respect as you show me"...you have talked of and shown in the past.

How did this thread disrespect you? What is your authority to decide which threads are valid and which aren't...I think the world of you Don, but in this case you were wrong and I think you should apologize to the author of the thread tbh, he has just as much right to make his posts too. I know you're angry but do not take it out on us please...I know some of us have given you a lot of respect, I think we should get the same back.

EDIT: by the redicule I see was started by you...you didn't meet redicule with redicule...you just plain started it.
