I got this little question about the free upgrade from AT1 to AT2.
I got AT1 with the Sonik Tank Group buy.
I had just registered it beginning of October.
Does that mean I qualify for a free AT2 version, as the info was placed that all users registering AT1 after beginning of september would get a free upgrade?
That would be more than unbelievable...

I'd imagine so - if you had AT1 all this time but only registered it now, then as far as IK is concerned you might have only just bought it now. You certainly haven't had any use out of it before then. I'd say yes - if IK are doing it the way they usually do upgrades, there's a very good chance you'll get AT2 for free.

Just bought it. How can I ensure that I will get the FREE SampleTank 2 L?? Will this come automatically? Thing is, it was a deciding factor. I have Sonic Synth 1, came with ST2LE - only one instance of the plugin. Not very useful for the things I do. So if I get this as a sort of "upgrade" along with Amplitube, it'll help me out big time.

So, this will just be put in the package yes?? Or do I have to actively do something to get it?

If he did then it was probably for a good reason and that sort of stuff is explained in the "welcome to the Sonic Reality forum" thread. There's responsibility attached to what is said publicly in our company forum (different than the rest of the forums on KVR that aren't attached to a company). Sure would be nice to get AT2 as a free upgrade since I got AT1 when the group buy came out just like telebunke did...unfortunately for me, I registered it 6/05/05 as soon as I got it and didnt wait as long as Telebunke did Otherwise I could have gotten AT2.

Well, we'll see if they really send it. I suppose we have an AT1 serial number that indicates it's a "free with ST2L" version, which might not qualify.
I wouldn't mind if it doesn't qualify, it was a great deal the way it is.

hmmm. so it's $249.00 to upgrade from 1.0 full version to 2.0 full version?

That's not a very good deal, I bought the full version in March anticipating this upgrade, I would have waited had I known it would cost soo much. I have not used version 1 in any songs, my Jamstation blows it away. Oh well.

AT2 is (almost) a completely new thing. It's not like upgrading from, let's say Cubase 2.x to 3.x.
