Would hedgehog suits do?

What if we only play bowed saw?
*ponder*

Yes. Yes, that would be acceptable. More than acceptable, it'd be superb. Why, I'd even buy the CD!

So: yes.
Oh, but by all means you'll get a free CD.

And a free used hedgehog suit... :o

OK, Frippertronix, I'm feeling generous. I'm going to put up a band name that I thought up last year while a certain astronomic event took place. I thought it would be a great band name or a great name for an electronic/ambient song.

Ready (it's probably already taken anyways....)

the Transit of Venus

The particular astronomic event that this names is when Venus passes in front of the Sun. With the right equipment, one can watch a little black dot (Venus) pass across the blazing disc of the sun. This happened 6-9 months ago here in Michigan, USA.

There it is, free for the taking. First to register it owes me a CD.

Interesting, I'll consider that one.

Actually, I'll give away the one I was condsidering:

Arcturus.

Sounds trippy, futuristic, etc.

Taken by these guys (with a fancy schmancy website :x ):

www.arcturus.no

I think they are "black metal" so I best mind myself or they will come and drag me off me to their nordic sacrifical alter of Satan/Thor/Tony Iommi.

:hihi:

Here's some others following in the scientific / philosopher's vein:

DaVinci's Curiosity

Persistence of Sisyphus

Pythagorean Theorem

Hippocratic Oath

Euclidean Geometry

Navigation by Stars

Socratic Speculation

Cartography of Kant

Angular Manipulation

This is becoming somewhat tiresome. If you want some inspiration, just look at the names of the early mathematicians, philosophers, etc.

Here's a list to get you started:

reenignE,

You might need to explain to folks in the US that 'maths' is the everywhere but the USA abbreviation for mathematics. Since I went to school with a couple of Brits, I learned this way back. (that is correct, is it not?)

Band I produced and managed, "The Living Daylights" had to change to "The Daylights" to get the Bond movie people off our backs. We could have stood our ground I guess, but our attitude was basically, "fuckit, just The Daylights sounds better anyway..."

How's about Crispy Ambulance? :hihi: (the greatest band name ever!)

I wrote one of these a few years back, based on weighted letter probabilities and some selection rules which I made up as I went along. I've been meaning to revisit it at some point and make a lyrics generator in some random language.

Anyway, here is some sample output. Maybe there's a band name in there somewhere.

Arcturus could be a gladiator.

Gladiator Arcturicus.

Arcturicus Besticus.
