Can't you just do the same with any convolution processor and the right impulses?

i think this plugin´s very nice (mean the free version).it can add some nice "colouring" (well, don´t know anything else to describe it than that) to synth sounds and drums. subtle, yes, but welcome to my ears!

same here, im just not really sure what it can do for me yet.JeffSanders wrote: Not necessarily an improvement, but a difference...ymmv...
i generally dont like effects that change freq balance, because i feel i would have eqed/mixed it that way if thats what i had wanted. so with such effects i feel the need to compensate back again. but maybe the phase warping will ocasionally be useful? or add something to the summing across many tracks? only one way to try... (when i can be bothered

yep ... not working here. you are on logic 5.5.1 pc?AndrewSimon wrote:Did you try the final release version? (was released today)brok landers wrote:i tried their free plugins, but they don`t seem to work in logic 5.5.1 on pc ...
the pluggo runtime did not help. the gui was not shown correctly, so to say, only a part of it was displayed ...
any suggestions? i`m really interrested in those ... anybody got them to work successfully in logic 5.5.1 pc?
i don`t own pluggo.AndrewSimon wrote:Did you put the DLL's inside the Plugo folder? (just to be sure)
i just d/l`d the runtime they suggested...
i installed this runtime into the same folder as the plugin is installed... in \VstPlugins ...
no luck.
thanks anyway, for trying to help!
any more suggestions, anyone?

im on pc, this is how it works with me (i dont own pluggo either):
pluggo runtime is installed into its own directory on my system drive (program files/cycling'74/pluggo), it has also placed a 'pluggo runtime' folder in my vst plugin folder. the tritone stuff (i have hydra too) is just installed into its own 'tritone digital' folder in my vst plugin folder, but not in the pluggo runtime folder.
if you've done that then try troubleshooting further at their forum here:

It's working, I'm listening hard enough, it's just not doing much.wm wrote:just thought id chime in.
i dont find this effect that subtle. it can be though with some of the impulses, when colour is at its lowest and output a couple of notches up to compensate bypass volume.
sorry no help, but either its not working or you need to listen harder.
I own Max/MSP & Jitter. How to use the pluggo runtime:
Install the runtime and identify the VST folder during install. Then install the plugin into the 'Pluggo Runtime' folder in the VST folder. Bob's your uncle!
It works in Sonar but not in ACID from my experience.

i think its best heard when removed. when i bypass it, i can feel the absence. SO I TURN IT BACK ON!
ps.: i pushed some warm midrange synth sounds through it, and they actually got distorted (fine fine fine way) in the mid frequencies. thats not so subtle. i love it. (i asked wether they do a pc version, and they replied they cant tell me)

Hell yeah......you most certainly canaMUSEd wrote:Can't you just do the same with any convolution processor and the right impulses?
But the key phrasing is using the "right impulses".
Pre-amp, compressor, cabinet, EQ and even mic impulses will all contribute significant "character". You just need to be patient in searching through these stepped impulses. But once you find the right combinations that work for you, forget about it! You are mixin' buddy! Yeah!!!
There are many out there of superb quality (even 24/96). And of various vintage and modern brands.
Having said all that, a fast and/or dual processor, comes in VERY handy in these situations. That is, if you hope to bathe your inserts with 'em.
I'm sure this is nothing you don't already know!
Cheers!

BTW, I had tested Colortone (free version) some time ago and did hear the difference. You'll notice it more on mutiple busses. I never A/B through a bypass switch. I rather have the plug completely off or compare through treated/untreated channels.
Anyway.....still prefer the impulse route, hands down! I'm on a PC so I can't test the pro version.

Exactly.....along with a few others from this thread:stag wrote:noisevault.com

Don't the let the efforts of cAPSLOCK, Pipeline, and many other contributors of Noisevault (among other sites) go to waste. Dive right in. Their hard work is free to us! I would not be able to achieve certain gears' character, had it not been for their stepped impulses. I am forever indebted!
Cheers!
