Got word from NI that mine shipped today. Looking forward to receiving it. Due to space constraints, my master keyboard is placed a bit away from the computer, so it is going to be great to be able to control my VSTs without having to ride the chair back and forth between the two.

see imtempted by the komplete 3 update - but then i also know that if i update later - like after they have released some updates to pro 53 for example I get that update too
so the update to kore before the end of june thing means new products in august & july - (in time for namm ?)

I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Hey what's this in the manual about needing to update my Reaktor ensembles to be compatible with Kore? I've already modified most of my default ones. Also does that mean any other ensembles than the factory defaults are not compatible?ew wrote:Patience is a virtue...aMUSEd wrote:Got mine today

The reason why it says that is that the KORE sounds which use Reaktor have had the parameters mapped. Often, when they made the KORE sounds, before they mapped the controllers they compressed and sorted the parameter ID numbers. Hence, the version of Carbon2 included in the KORE install may not have the same automation IDs as the one in your Reaktor folder, and the automation pages won't be accurate.
Any ensemble will work in KORE. However, any besides the factory ensembles you'll have to setup the automation for yourself.
I have a new version of VFripp that will be released in the next couple weeks with all the snaps available as .ksds with automation pages

I see. I'm hoping they will setup a library for users to share mappings etc - so many third party VSTi's to create pages for otherwise.

There's of course some problems arising with a user library (unfortunately that is), which might be the same for any sort of modular host.
Let's just suggest you bought, say, BTs Albino patches. Now you'd load them and save them in Kore format...
No idea how things such as this would (or could) be handled.
