Perhaps the piano roll and step recorder are a little more robust in Cubase, but Sonar certainly has it's appeal in that dept. too.
I definately gave Sonar a good test run beforehand. In fact, I really like its MIDI support, and the Piano Roll is nice, even if I do miss a few features from other places.

But if here had been a Cubase demo, then I might've felt more at home with Cubase. As it is, I know nothing about Cubase, aside from a few tutorials on the net and some rather vague workflow descriptions on the Steinberg website. I wonder if any highstreet music shops get given Steinberg demos? They used to a few years back.
Now go make some more great music!
C'mon now, no-one on forums makes music. It's the old scientifically proven "post count inversely proportional to amount music made" rule...

Hi friends,

thanx for all the cool tips and advice.
I'll check over to the Sonar forum and check out the other mentioned recources.
And for the question why I'm interested in Sonar: There are a few annoyances in Nuendo2 that are working against me daily. On the other hand basically I'm very happy with it. N2 has lotsa very cool features in every area. Yeah, some of those fancy modern things would be cool like freeze, on-the-fly audio stretching, etc. And so I wanted to check out Sonar. :)

All the best, FRitz
In the end will be the word.
