Yeah... :o i haven't seen the video yet, but i did see the flam and roll buttons and that added extra points onto it. Plus it's not "too much" more to go that route than the akai one....so many choices, so little enthusiasm to part with my cash :|

I've got a padKontrol in motion somewhere between here and New York right now. They look like a new Essential Tool for working with drum tracks. I'm already in love with mine, and haven't even met it yet.

That said, in case you're still interested, the MPD16 is on sale for $99 at ZZounds.....

I think it's pretty much standard to put up the prices in US $, this gives one across-the-board/web standard that is cross compatible between international customers.

If you wanted everything in various natinal currencies, then that is where you would start getting conversion rate issues that you point out as being worried about.

It's very unlikely that a company such as IL or ShareIt will use 'dodgy' conversion rates, and unless there is something really really dodgy going on, even if they used a non-up to date one, the difference at that low $ cost will be minimal.

I'd be more wary of a sales page offering unsubstantiated multi currency prices to be honest

Thanks, orange2k!

I get obsessive, and couldn't hardly find this thing in stock anywhere on the net. The Sweetwater guy, who was very nice, claimed that nobody had them until at least the end of the month.

But 8th Street Music had three of them in the warehouse...

I'm sooooo pleased. :)
