Of course spinner2 is great for this sort of weirdness. I tried it in place of the spinner and verb I was using for the example above and it works great. especially the strangeness of the the reverb completely disappearing and reappearing

...I got some strange pops in the audio every now and then...don't what from what, but seemed to only show up when I was using sustain pedal on lazysnake...
At any rate- thanks for reminding me to "check the xoxos folder first"

I would get ArtsAcoustic Reverb if I were you. Although, I'm sure there's advantages and disadvantages to both reverbs.

there's very little reverb you are hearing the sample above.

The ArtsAcoustic Reverb is VERY nice and extremely versatile. I found another recently that is nearly as good for some applications- if you have Reaktor, give PHI-master a spin. According to the author, it's based on "Golden Ratio" for diffusion math and Prime Numbers for delay/size settings...my glasses aren't thick enough to understand, but I love the sound

But how come most reverbs, even rayspace has ringy tones? I would have thought that they would have done something to make the reverb sound better than ringy.

THAT is one of the cool things about this PHI-master thingy: very smooth and NOT at all ringy. Sometimes ringy is way cool; many times not- PHI-master pretty much has me covered for the warm dense smooth verb right now. I'd love to own the ArtsAcoustic verb, but with most of the noise I make, I cannot justify paying that much for it presently

If you guys want an awesome effect for dreamy sounds: Charsiesis

If only it had a midi envelope on the "mix" parameter, I swear it could make any reverb sound as good as that stupid modulation knob on Arts Acoustic Reverb... I call it stupid because I'm so annoyed how simple it is to produce the exact effect. It sounds like a chorus effect like Charsiesis. The only thing is that Charsiesis can't "go along" with a reverberation like Arts Acoustic modulation knob, that's why it would be so awesome if Charsiesis had a mix envelope.

Is there a midi plugin that creates envelopes for CC?

compiled ages ago transforming a sine osc into x-y coordinates. doesn't pop, but uses a lot of cpu so probably that's how..

if it's useful (i forget who did a similar plug) i'll recompile it with modern seps that significantly lessen load

the way it is now, charsiesis doesn't have midi CC support nor host param modulation support. And Soma Env Follower is a VST instrument, not an effect, so that can't even work at all!
