I'm constantly going back to this one. Preset #1 is all I need for huge spacey, non clangy reverb.

I wonder if this thing is ever going out of alpha? Anyone know if it's still being worked on?
I didn't realize that it was Alpha. I've used it error free for a couple of years in Tracktion 1 and now in Tracktion 2.

It seems to use a completely different computational engine than most other reverbs. All I know is that I keep going back to it; though I do like the Mackie Reverb that is bundled with the boxed version of Tracktion 2.

Convolution reverbs I know (but not tried yet) : Voxengo pristine space
Wizoo Wizoverb
SIR (free)

any other?
The difference is that convolution reverbs cannot hold up with the best algorithmic reverbs in terms of clarity, room impression etc. dry/wet affiliation, ....
The Stereo panorama of the impulse is also affected in a bad way...

But they capture the overall sound quite good...

The worst thing with the convolution reverbs is that they sound like a layer behind the dry mix....
very bad for music productions....
You can listen to some examples on my thread here (algo based hardware vs convolution):

From my point of view the best VST reverb you can buy is the IK CSR by far...

And i have tried them all, and was also always unsatisfied...
some are ringy, other have low density and flutter on drums, others have nonlinear frequency responses and sound like everything is played in a can,...
