I finally got most of my stuff recovered using officerecovery.com freeundelete , as suggested by Mikomi

It did miss a few files on the way, but it told me which ones it couldn't recover, so I can get them manually.

resotration is a smart little utility - but it's one-at-a-time undelete - not practical when the Imagline uninstaller managed to delete a grand total of 916 files

f**k ,I always forget where the link is...but there's a program called Restoration that works beautifully...just don't install it on the drive you deleted the file from

Why don't you use restoration to get back the files freeundelete couldn't restore?
