Yikes, that's a scary picture.
Anyways, sorry about not posting in this thread sooner, but it escaped my notice. To clear up a couple things right off the bat, no, we're not horning in on PSP's territory. The PSP42 is a model of the Lexicon PCM 42 digital delay. The PSP84 is a model of an imaginary piece of gear that could loosely be described as a stereo pair of PCM 42s.
Our upcoming Reverence plugin is based on the Lexicon 200 digital reverb. It is not a direct clone, as that is a little too gritty and 80s sounding to be truly useful in today's market. It keeps the same front panel, which we felt was a good, simple layout for a digital reverb. It has the same "vibe," but obviously has significantly more headroom. (If the Lexicon 200 ran at 48kHz, it would have cost roughly $250,000 when it came out; however, that's nothin' but a thang in today's computers.)
It does have that nice, thick, gooey early Lexicon sound, but lacks the brittle "Frankie Goes To Hollywood" sizzle, which was a result of the not-so-hot convertors. We think it is fantastic, of course, but it's our baby, so we're extremely biased. Reverb quality is largely a matter of taste, so you'll have to listen to the demos when we put 'em up and decide for yourself. It is _far_ better than Deverb, and Deverb will cease to be available when Reverence is released.
We've just finished major coding on the PC platform, and just today I handed the GUI off to Adam. He will slap that on to the plug, and we'll get the first beta out to our Windows testers Monday or Tuesday while we work on the OSX versions. With the Discord 2 release, I was far off base, so take this with a grain of salt, but I'd say that Reverence will be released before August is out. As noted earlier, the price will be $39.00. I should have some audio demos and a screenshot up early next week.

ahhh ...
man, i've owned the l200 sooo long ...
sad that it's not a true recreation of the l200!
ok, i must admit, the l200 could be used as a noisegenerator, too
, but the sound ... nothing like a typical lexicon at all.
however, i absolute love that sound! very artificial, and very sandy, great for synth signals ... used it only on synths at that time ...
this thing had a _very_ unique character ...
well, however, i am _very_ interrested in how the audiodamage thingy sounds.
maybe i find a way to compare this to the real thing, as a friend of mine still owns the real one ...

sorry if I'm thick, but is the L200 hardcoded to run at 48khz?Crandall1 wrote:Yikes, that's a scary picture.
