Great sound on the acoustic basses. Mind if I ask what drums you used for demo 1? Did you load them into your ManyStation synth and play them by hand, or did you use a midi drum program to play the samples?
Thanx.

If you're referring to any of my demos, that's the NSKit7. It's played partially by hand and partially entered in/fixed up. Drum sequencing is something I spend a long time on getting sound just right...Jake Jackson wrote:Great sound on the acoustic basses. Mind if I ask what drums you used for demo 1? I got a chance to play with this a bit and had a lot of fun. Nice variety of sounds in a small package.
It's the next best thing to actually having an upright bass and knowing how to actually play it and give it the love and care they require.
Thanks for making this. Now go pluck and bang on that bass some more and make us another one.

Hi
Great to hear pd! I know Greg wants to do more Upright sounds so another different Upright library could be possible. I think we caught a lot of the characteristics of Acoustic Basses in these 2 new sets. The Upright is great for Classic Jazz, Blues or old time stuff, while the Ovation Acoustic is suited to more modern acoustic bass sounds (Alternative Rock, Punk, Unplugged, Campfire, and other acoustic bass styles.)
Between the 2 libraries we have most of the Acoustic bass styles covered. I am very happy with them and i know all you guys will be too.
As it is 1 am here and I am beat, it is time to retire for the evening...
Any orders received in the meantime, will be shipped in the morning once i awake. So hang in there and I hope you first few guys who purchased are enjoying the sounds.
Talk to you all tomorrow.
Paul

These are remarkably good. The Ovation is as good as it's likely to get, and the 'dir' version will be excellent for folkrockish stuff.
The killer, however, is the miked version of the upright bass. It was an afternoon of channeling Willie Dixon here.
