Here are some B.Rs I noticed (some have already been reported before in this thread; by the way, I got the 2 mails)
[LiveSlice v145b1]
BR1/ Scrolling with mouse wheel doesn't work anymore
BR2/ Pitch of an event, changes the display of all events?
1- Lock a loop to a track
2- Click on Pitch button and change the pitch of an event with the computer keyboard up & down keys
All the events size's are being modified
BR3/ The Stretch button is no more a toggle button
-> Is it still possible to continue using the stretch button as in older version (I.E. re-pitch, with RMB on stretch button for example?)
BR4/ Waveform display = always 'normalized'?
When I load a loop with LiveSlice145b1 and with an older the version, the waveform doen't display the same way in the 2 version of LiveSlice: it seems that with v145b1, the waveform which is being displayed, is already 'normalized' (even if the loop isn't actually normalize)
Cheers,
GilJ.

yes you are right it's not ideal as it is. I need to change it so that altering the pitch will zoom in on the waveform, but maintain the width (zoom and crop) when changing the pitch. Only changing the AHD parameters should alter the width of the display.GilJ wrote: BR2/ Pitch of an event, changes the display of all events?

good idea, RMB on stretch it is then.GilJ wrote: BR3/ The Stretch button is no more a toggle button

I agree that there's an idea in having it a toggle button, so that once stretch is activated, it will automatically stretch to follow the project tempo.
forgot to mention the changes to the waveform display - It looks different now (IMO an improvement because zero crossings are more visible now) - I agree though, that there is no reason to normalize the display - you can always normalize the sample itself. Will change this in the next beta.GilJ wrote: BR4/ Waveform display = always 'normalized'?

hey calm down ppl. I do these email changes in batch because the process is rather tedious - it involves logging into a website, manually searching for email adresses, emailing back saying "sorry no such email is registered", sending files as attachments, etc. etc. I'd much rather just focus on programming so forgive me for letting you guys wait. The next beta will be neat, with a re-re-designed waveform display, and the bugfixes mentioned above.
that said I fully understand your exitement about the beta, I'm pretty psyched myself, and I do believe all of you have received an email by now. In the future betas will be made available on request when someone around here finishes the user section on the website

here's the list of new features:
- now uses VST 2.4 and an updated vstgui
- loop cropping
- time stretching
- time stretching lead to some significant changes to the volume envelopes -
both attack, hold and decay can now be set relative or absolute and the
durations are allowed to exceed the duration of the original slice. Note
that this might lead to incompatibilities with songs saved with the old
version - It's my ambition fix this before the final release. Remember to
back up your songs before saving.
- normalize
- space bar now controls playback
- imroved waveform display.
beta 2 will add:
loop crop: allow you to drag the loop end point past existing slices,
deleting slices as you drag them.
mouse wheel bug fixed
more accurate display of event duration / zoom
following betas will add:
time stretch: implement "slice end mirroring" as an alternative to cross
fading (current)
time stretch: allow user definable loop points when crossfading

Thanks ohm i have got the beta. When i said yet i meant i'm sure it will come eventually but i also realised it could be taken the other way
Problem:Liveslice doesn't retain audio i load into it in Phrazor.I'd completely forgot but after seeing this thread i decided fire up phrazor to see if the same thing happens if i save liveslice as a slot or a track and it does.I selected the save audio data option
I think the problem lies with phrazor and it's native file system but i don't know.I'll test the beta and let you know the results.

regarding phrazor: I believe there's an option somewhere to force the program to save the full bank of presets instead of just the used presets - this is necessary for LiveSlice to save the audio data. I remember discussing this with Holger during beta testing and I'm fairly sure he implemented this option. Try the sonicbytes forum someone might know.
